Hey there,
I've just got Dolphin to work and I've been excited to play Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes, but after about an hour of emulation, my computer just shuts off unexpectedly. I've got all the right specs to play the game and it isn't overheating or anything, I don't think. I've got a dell inspiron with windows vista. It's about two years old, but I recently had the motherboard and hard drive replaced a few months ago, so I'm hoping it isn't a hardware issue. Is there some kind of setting I can adjust to keep this from happening?
Thanks for the help!
I don't recall seeing the "don't let my system crash" Dolphin setting anywhere. Smile

Seriously though, it does sound like a hardware issue. It sounds like Dolphin is putting a strain on your PC and it can't handle it, so it shuts off.
Probably a cooling issue. What temperatures do you run while playing a game in Dolphin?

That's a Dolphin Pro feature.
Dolphin U Pro v1.0 is the latest version atm
Check your CPU temp and CPU clock speed with "Realtemp" while Dolphin is running (at least 10 mins)

It's just Dolphin Pro, and the latest version is 4.0. Whatever you are using is fake.
Sounds like a power supply issue to me.

I think she was just joking. And I thought dolphin 3.5 was the latest version. Can you link me to a dolphin pro 4 download? Please and thank you.

Actually all of them were joking (except NaturalViolence Tongue )
Yeah seriously guys I know you seem to think that this dolphin pro joke is funny for some reason but newbies can and will take it seriously if you let them. And long term that's going to cause more work for us when we need to "clean up the mess".

Yeah, you guys are killing me. It's kind of hilarious though. I installed realtemp and it goes up to about 70 degrees C. I unticked dual core and it seems to be controlling the temp, but it's a bit slower. Anyone got a better solution?
