So running version 3.5-367 I was playing Super Mario Sunshine. I went into Sirena beach to beat a shine called "Scrubbing Sirena Beach". You have to run around and clean up all the electric goo all over the place. Once you do that you get the shine. You have 3 minutes. I cleaned up all the guck but I didnt get the shine. I inspected the whole level, and every last spec of goo had been cleaned up. This is a well known bug with dolphin but is there a fix yet? The dolphin wiki gave some ideas and a few configuration options to change. I tried everything. I just cant get it to work. Does anyone have any ideas?

PC Specs:
Intel Core i7 3930K 6-core OC 4.6 GHz
32GB DDR3-1600MHz
Sapphire Radeon HD 7970
Crucial M4 128GB SSD

Running LLE Emulation. Tried D3D9 and D3D11, and different settings. Nothing works. How do I complete that level and get the shine???
It's well known :3
Try the perfqueries branch, it exists solely to fix that bug.
I don't understand. What specifically is that and how do I apply it or make it work?
Ok. So I downloaded it, and it seems to just be a different version of dolphin. Is that the only point? Or do I do something specific with that? I want to be able to use my version 367
Your vanilla 3.5-367 doesn't have the necessary code changes, so forget about it if you want to complete this level in Dolphin. Use a build from the branch that's been mentioned and linked to. All you have to do is play it on that build and it should work.
Well I cant do that because I cant state load from one version to the next. It wont save to the memory cards either. Yes I have memory cards and all those settings enabled. The games can read memory cards no problem but wont let me save to them. So I just use state load. Why cant I carry over states from one version to the next?
The actual data within the save states is affected by different Dolphin revisions, and it's impractical for Dolphin to try to make all of the corrections itself. Memory cards are the only way it'll work.

Have you simply tried copying and pasting your memory card file from 3.5-367? Additionally, have you tried deleting the memory card file from the perfqueries build and importing a .GCI file from the memory card in 3.5-367? If you do the second method, play a game for a bit in perfqueries after deleting the memory card so that Dolphin creates a fresh one, then import the .GCI file using the Memory Card Manager (look under Tools). Lastly, make sure you extracted the perfqueries build to somewhere you have write permissions ( e.g. not in Program Files).
The wiki for this game says "d3d11_pixelmetrics" fixes it. It's mentioned in the issue report, along with perfqueries. Which one makes this level completable?
