Forgot to mention, I'm using OSX 10.8.2, tested with the latest 1056.
It seems FPS is very slightly lower in "The Last Story", I haven't had time to test too much, but running around in Lazulis did give me FPS drops to around 20, keeping it mostly around 25-28 and 30 FPS in the smaller alleyways , but I can live with this!
I had no issues keeping max FPS in any of the other games (like before).
AA seems to work just fine too!
Thank you so so much!
I have had a bit more time to try this build.
It does fix a lot of games and seems to work very well with Wii games.
My collection of games aren't that huge, but I have tried all I have.
Wii games:
Xenoblade, MHTri, The Last Story, Pandora's Tower.
Performance is pretty much the same as older versions of dolphin.
The Last Story is a tiny bit slower and I do believe Pandora's Tower is a bit faster.
GameCube:
Mario Kart: This game is very much slower than before. At 3x IR I get drops to around 30 FPS and never reach 60.
With 1x IR I still struggle to reach 60.
In the old version I can do 60 with 4x IR, if i choose 1xIR i get like 90-100FPS+
Baldur's Gate

A: Can't seem to get the game running at more than 15 FPS regardless of settings.
Overall, it seems Wii games do pretty much same as before, however gamecube games are very slow.
I though this build would change how the GPU handle the graphics, and not the CPU?
thx for testing
It's known that efb2ram and efb access slow down after this merge, but I don't see why it should affect GC games more.
btw, it changed almost everything on opengl side :-)
You could try to use the OpenGL Profiler to search for software fallbacks (if there are any). Maybe OSX doesn't support everything we uses.
Why does Star Fox Assault have choppy audio on this (or another similar) build? The framerate is 60 fps, but the audio is very choppy. Is it due to the WIP audio fixes?
It seems that perf query needs most of the time. Maybe they are slow, or more likely they are the first blocking calls (if you're gpu bound). But as no draw call needs much time, no gl call falls back to software :-)
Can you please try this again with this build:
http://dl.dolphin-emu.org/wips/degasus-dolphin-master-3.5-1062+.dmg
perf querys are disabled there
Pretty much the same results.
FPS is very low. OpenGL driver monitor shows 100% GPU usage, and FPS is is sub 15 fps in Baldur's Gate, even at 1xIR (which runs full speed in 3.5 at 4xIR)

Was that directed to me?
Never mind, I'll post the Star Fox Assault audio issues elsewhere.
nintendo_nerd: sorry, I don't know anything about audio :-(
cluthz: same result? But it would be nice to know which calls now slows down. But your pastebin file is much too small ;-)
