im trying to play metroid prime on my computer and it lags sometimes but it also goes up quite a bit too in FPS. so it is somewhat playable. the lowest is 20fps i think.

anyways, after i start up the game. it gets me to the menu and all the text is all wierd. it almost looks as if its a foreign language. when i start the game, things seem to run fine, but as soon as i actually get past the startup video and play abit, it will eventually crash. the times of the crash are unexpected at the moment..any ideas how to speed it up without crashes?

i saw this guy using a LATER version of the dolphin im trying to run and it seems to run a lot better:

he says he is on Dolphin SVN r1482.
I'm on rev 3402.
and i can't seem to update to any other revs, more info select my other thread's url: http://forums.dolphin-emu.org/thread-285...l#pid24497

pc specs (the important details):

intel core 2 duo (e6600) @ 2.4ghz
OCZ 2gb 400mhz RAM
EVGA Geforce 9800Gtx+ 512mb
I found out what the problem was and the solution and fix.

1. I had to enable "safe texture cache" which fixed the random crashes and the menu text.

2. it actually was in a diferent language...spanish. but text was distorted

3. NEVER put your cpu on "realtime" priority in task manger to speed dolphin up" it makes your controlls delay badly and not work properly.
Did you turn progressive scan on?
