RE6 is quite cool game, despite that many ppl have said that its crap. Campaigns are long enough and very interesting. Far more better for me than RE4 and 5.
I like many of the new additions that the older resident Evil games never had. I like being able to melee whenever I want to. It's really cool to be able to shoot for a period of time, then walk or run up to a guy and do some kicking and punching or throwing of the enemy. I like the additions of running, sliding, rolling, crawling, taking cover and most importantly, walking and shooting. It's all good stuff that makes the gameplay very flexible and interesting. I will admit that the camera and how the character moves took me a small amount of time to get used to, but once you do, you're good to go and you can pretty much do anything you want to do very fluidly. I think most of my control and camera issues came from me recently playing a lot of RE4, so it was all very different.
Game-breaking issues reported with the PC version <-- Link

I've experienced two of those game-breaking issues with Leon's campaign. Below I've explained these issues although one may contain a spoiler. I suggest you read it anyway so that you know what's going on.

RE6 its ok with me but what i think they should of done is put the weapon upgrades like in RE4 and 5

Heh, there is a Snowmobile level in Jake's campaign. I got on the Snowmobile and then got off of it and then got stuck near it and couldn't move. I had to end the game. This is getting ridiculous.
Third impression - My Final Thought:

The game is really good a lot of the time, then something really stupid happens and you die (RE6 in a nutshell). You'll be going along and everything is cool. The action is really good, along with the gun-play, melee and the enemies, then something stupid happens that leaves you shaking your head and wondering why they made that happen. Then you'll forget all about the stupid stuff that happened and you start to really enjoy the game again. Then something really stupid happens again. The game puts you in these stupid scenarios where you have to press buttons to jump over or under things, go up and down ladders quickly within a specific amount of time otherwise whatever is chasing you kills you. These are all parts of the game that pop-up every-so-often and is just a worthless game-play mechanic that just pisses you off. I don't know how many random stupid times I've died along the way, but they didn't need to add those parts to the game. It's almost as if they want to piss you off so you stop playing. This is all their intended game-play, I'm not even taking about the broken stuff I've found right now.

I've played three quarters of the game so far and I do really want to continue playing, but it just gets so ridiculous sometimes that it's almost unbearable. I can't even explain some of the other stuff, but if you play long enough, you'll find out for yourself. I tell ya, I'd really like to sit down with the game developers and ask them why they thought some of this stuff was a good idea to add to the game.

Resident Evil 6 can be really good at times, but some of the garbage they've added brings down the game to a 7 out of 10 for me. The game leaves you wanting more of the good stuff and less of the bad stuff. Unfortunately, it's all in the same package and there is no way of getting around what brings the game down. It's sad, it could have been really great.

For the final word, I don't want people to misunderstand me. I do really like this game, but I also really hate it. Smile

Thanks for the gamebreaking warning Starscream. I really appreciate it.

Lol, that has to be the most vague final thoughts I've ever read.
I do appreciate it that you try to keep it as spoiler-free as possible.

The press buttons to dodge/jump/shoot QTEs have been part of previous Resident Evil games too (namely 4 and 5, haven't played the rest), but as soon as you start playing RE6, they shove a QTE right in your face. That should've been a sign of what you could expect.

*sits down*
No, really.
I'm not talking about QTEs in that sense. The QTEs you're talking about (I think) are where you have no control of the game and you have to just press buttons. What I'm talking about is where you do have control over your character's movements and you have to press buttons while running and have full control of your character. It's a bit different and wasn't in RE4 or 5. I'm not sure how far into the game you are, but maybe you haven't come across those yet.
I warned you that it was going to be mediocre at best.
