Get a cheap Wii. And deal with bad resolution
And don't buy the new Family Edition ones. They don't run gamecube games anymore. If you don't know, check on the box, where it'll say in small print that it doesn't support gamecube games.
Try to get it used from a non-Family-Edition owner or look around for stores still selling GC-compatible ones.
