How about the OP creates a table that he updates every time a new post is made, like the one for the already listed characters? In it he could put the names of everyone who posted a character and how many points they have based on a points system. I have a rough draft of what it could be:

Character Points



5 Points- Appears in a less popular franchise once
4 Points- Appears in a franchise once
3 Points- Appears in a franchise more than once, but isn't widely known. (EX. Professor Elm)
2 Points- Appears in a franchise more than once. Not a main character but widely known. Any Pokémon also applies.
1 Point- Has a game named after them/ main character of a popular game

Game Points

5 Points- IOS/Android/Windows Phone/PC exclusive (1 game not in a franchise)
4 Points- IOS/Android/Windoes Phone/PC exclusive (in a franchise EX. League of Evil or Infinity Blade)
3 Points- 3rd Party Game Franchise Widely known (EX. COD, Final Fantasy, and Sega games)
2 Points- 3rd Party Game Franchise Not widely known (EX. Star Wars? and I can't really think of much)
1 Point- 1st Party Game Franchise (EX. Mario, Zelda, Metroid)

we could do as IlovetheGamecube as said but that would mean that we stop posting the famous characters and we stay posting only characters not so famous, and many of the users would not be entertained, since most would not remember the name of a character that appears once. So i will do a count of how many characters each gamer as posted and so we will establish a ranking.
i guess this is fair enough because the purpose of this game is keep saying as many characters as you remember.

All That for nothing... Well yeah. Or we could change the game rankings so like if you put Mario you get 1 point but for game you get let's say 3 for super smash bros. but super Mario brothers could be a 1. So it's more on the game after the character so you use some creativity but we still see the characters we know and love

then let's do it like this
you get 2 points for each character name you say
if you say the name of a character of the same series said by the previously gamer or the previous series that you said you get 1 point
ex:
i post mario (earned 2 points)
you post yoshi (earned 1 point)

or
i post mario (earned 2 points)
you post lulu (earned 2 points)
then i post peach (earned 1 point)

okay then let's continue the last letter said is C
