When I try to play skyward sword or xenoblade chronicles I get huge black bars on the top and bottom of screen. It doesn't do it when I play monster hunter tri though. I have tried messing with the graphics/resolution settings trying every option but they will not go away. Anyone know a fix for this?

Operating System: Windows 7 x64

System specs? Dolphin version? Settings?

Most of that is in his profile, that's what it's there for. Settings and a screenshot of the issue would be nice, though.
Here's a screenshot of skyward sword, I would like it to take the full screen, is that possible? I am using Direct3D9, 1920x1080, Stretch to Window, Widescreen Hack, and internal resolution is set to Auto (Window Size).
You're using widescreen hack in a game that already supports widescreen? That might be your problem right there.
All the widescreen hack does for me in skyward sword is make the game shrink horizontally (like the 3d stuff in game, not the UI or window size). Turning it off or on doesn't affect the black bars.
Ok. Well it should still be off. Does the issue occur with openGL and d3d11 as well?
Try using stretch
If I use d3d11/d3d9/openGL it doesnt change anything.

By stretch do you mean setting Aspect Ratio to Stretch to Window? It is had been set to stretch the whole time.

Has anyone else played skyward sword/xenoblade on dolphin? Are the black bars supposed to be there or something?
