brand new alienware computer, all games run fine except the need for speed series games. it says 20 fps but it feels like 8. how can i make them playable?
You can overclock your processor or get a better PC as not all games are created equally. And before you tell me that you can play PC games fine, that's irrelevant for emulation.

Quote:When creating new threads about dolphin, always provide a) your full PC specs (CPU, RAM, GPU, Operating System, ..) b) information about the Dolphin build used (version/revision, source, ..) c) Dolphin settings d) detailed description of what you're trying to do (e.g including the name of the game you tried to run and a screen shot of the issue if necessary). Ignoring this rule will get your thread closed and have you warned off.

hmm well my processor is an i7. 2.3 quad core with turbo boost to 3.1.

i might of found the problem. when i click on graphics, my adapter says intel HD 4000. but that's not my good card. i have a geforce gtx 675m installed too but it's not showing up in the options.

i only get the option in direct3d11 but then it errors and dolphin crashes
Go to nvidia settings and set them run in nvidia graphics.
But either way, that CPU isn't going to be good for emulation, and won't overclock. You're unlikely to see much of a speedup when using the other GPU unless you've set it to use crazy high IR and AA. If you aren't already, search for the settings for best speed thread, and use those settings.
I am newbie here.I have just come across here.I have learned so many new and latest information from here. Thanks for the information .
