In an effort to help you get the gaming running, use 2.5, in an effort to fixing the issue no.

Nope, still no success

I'm having this problem as well. I can run most shit easily, and before the fight/boxing match it runs very, very smoothly, but during the select screen, the FPS cuts in half.
Is there really no fix to this problem yet?

I've had similar issues. The fights run fine, but selecting an opponent and during a knockdown sequence (Mac's or the opponent's), the FPS drops for unknown reasons. No matter what settings.
Is it a problem with the emulator/game or is it my system? I'd really think a quad-core i7 at 3.61 GHz and an HD 7950 would be more than adequate to run the game at barebones settings, at least. Maybe not.
So anyone come across a revision that actually runs this without that in-between-round slowdown in 2-player mode?
I can't seem to get this game to run at all. I've tried a bunch of different settings, different isos, tried 4.0.2, tried the latest dev version (4.0-2352) but I always get the same result. Running the game on openGL will crash dolphin and running it on directX (9 or 11) will get me to the wiimote warning screen, but then my fps drops to 0 and the game freezes. I even had a friend try the game (with the same iso) and he got it to run fine. so I copied all his settings and still nothing. And yes I have that PAL60 thing disabled. Any ideas?
Maybe you just have a bad rom dump; this happens.
I don't think that's the problem because the initial iso I was using was my own dump that I pulled off my wbfs drive. And to make doubly sure, I downloaded the same torrent my friend successfully used and that iso didn't work either, scrubbed or unscrubbed
Yeah, you should remove that info before a mod reads it because that's a ban
Hm, then I don't know. The game needs a strong PC to play well but starting it shouldn't be an issue...
Dolphin can tell you if the dump is good or bad. Right click on the game in the game list and select Properties. Now click the Filesystem tab and right click each Partition and select "Check Partition Integrity".
