Can anyone explain step by step how to make this work please ?
EDIT: Managed to make the connection, but VBA M crashes after 3 or 4 seconds =(
Used visualboyadvance-m2.0.0Beta1, Dolphin 8888, also tried with VisualBoyAdvanceM1229. What I'm doing, is configure Dolphin port 4 as GBA, and then opening the GBA bios in VBA M.
This is so weird, I changed audio emulation to HLE, and now connectivity works perfectly. Except, game has almost no audio ingame (in dolphin) except for the pacman sound when it dies. No music, no voices, any ideas ?
ok, here's what I do, step by step.
1. Download VBA-M 2.0.0 beta 2 and the latest Dolphin dev build
2. Start up VBA-M and go to Options > Link > Type and set it to GameCube
3. Restart VBA-M to save the configuration
4. Start Dolphin and go to Options > Controller Settings
5. Set Port 1 to Standard Controller and Port 4 to GBA
6. Load the Pac-Man Vs disc in Dolphin
7. When the screen says "Connecting...", go to VBA-M and select Options > Link > Start Network Link
8. Select Client and in the Server box, type 127.0.0.1
9. Press Connect
10. VBA-M should say Player 1 in the window title. Select File > Open and pick the GBA BIOS
11. Wait until both emulators connect
12. Play

I did all that, but still no music, effects or voices on the GC game. Are you using HLE too ? If I use LLE I cannot boot it directly
You need DSP-LLE audio files dumped from an actual GameCube/Wii.

Thanks that did it
I got Pac Man Vs. in my emulator, and I got the VBA-M application installed and set up on my computer to connect. But when I open up them both, they aren't connecting for some reason! Every time when I open up the VBA-M, an error pops up thet says: "JoyBus invalid; disabling". Is that why the connection isn't working? Can you help me?

When I go to Options >link, "Start Network Link" is blured out, so I can't start a network link. But I didn't have to worry about that because I watched a youtube video to skip to Step 11 on your list. My problem is that the emulators aren't connecting. Does it take long to connect? Do I have to do something else to get them connected? Can you help me, skid?
Make sure you are using the latest beta version of dolphin; I don't think you need to use VBA-M anymore.

It is taking too long for the emulators to connect. Do I have to start a network link? I didn't do the network link, but the window title still says "Player 1" on VBA-M. What do I do?

What do you mean? I need the VBA-M to play the game right? What do I have to do without the VBA-M? I am trying to get the VBA-M to connect to Dolphin. (I am using the 5.0 version of Dolphin. Isn't that the latest version?)
