As a PC gamer who hasn't been able to buy used games in over a decade, you'll get over it pretty fast.

It'll make legitimate emulators in 10 or so years a bigger pain if there're only a limited amount of game disks in circulation, and when one is bought and used, it can never be used legally by anyone else.

I bet future emulators will just work around it. All they need is the game code + game data. If the game requires "authorization" just hack it, make the emulated code "think" it's been given permission to run Easier said than not, but not conceptually impossible.

Yes, but PC games don't have a limited supply. What's going to happen when you want to get your hands on an old game or that old RPG you always wanted to play? If the game is not available for download... You're screwed

Yes, but PC games don't have a limited supply. What's going to happen when you want to get your hands on an old game or that old RPG you always wanted to play? If the game is not available for download... You're screwed

On topic though, I can totally see Sony being all like "Introducing the Playstation 4, featuring no backward-compatibility, used game ban, and no built-in disc drive (sold separately)"

There will be backward-compatibility. Just not the way we're used to.
They'll use the company they bought (Gaikai) to allow PS4 owners to stream PS3 games.
