Yes, if you want a real complex guide... I just tried to jot down the main parts, don't know if this is good... I'm not so good at making guides

It would be nice if you added a disclaimer saying this is not the most optimized fps you can get on that cpu because noobs may get confused that a dual 3.0 ghz will run ssbb at only 45fps

Yeah, your right, I've done nothing more to optimize the fps... well do you really get more fps in Brawl? I'll test out^^

Hey again!
So, I successfully overclocked my CPU up to 3.2, 3.4 and 3.5. However I didn't feel like I was getting much of a speed boost at all. In fact, I began thinking that it was going slower. Then again this could be because of a number of things, such as the fact that I had plugged in my Wiimote via Bluetooth or because I changed revision.
Also, I'm unsure as to whether the temperature could have also been a factor. I just really hope it's not slow because I damaged it, perhaps through heat. In Madworld, I was getting a heatwave effect with cut outs of where objects used to be in the last frames. This also seemed to be apparent in Super Mario Sunshine, too.
Then again, I never did find the PCI/e setting you were talking about so perhaps that's why I didn't notice much of a difference. Would that most likely be the reason why?
One last thing, I found the option to increase my CPU voltage and I read that I Could manage 3.7GHz if I increase it. Would that be a sensible idea?
Thanks!
EDIT: There seems to be a increase of each part (t1, t2, t3 and core) of around 2-6C difference after playing Dolphin. The biggest difference is my GPU which jumps from 38C to 53C, that scares me. Although it seems to be inconsistent seeing as other times the difference was 9C or 12C. Still, is this concerning or is this normal of a GPU?
Thanks!

I get fullspeed in brawl with anistropic filtering at x16 and aa at x16
but i think some settings in the nvidia control panel are limiting the aafixed it, im gonna try to record it in fraps in hd... god help me

Afaik there are many other differences, a different architecture, and so on... I don't think a E2180 @3 Ghz will have the same speed than a E8400.
Oh right,
, I forgot Wolfdales were only E5000/6000/7000/8000 series.07-19-2009, 06:45 PM

Well, I won't recommend you to increase the Voltage very much, because that could really damage your system easily(er than normal overclocking). While a CPU can get up to 65° heat, too high voltage kills it very quickly.
Everything is slower? Well, I don't think this is normal, if you really changed revision, try to use the last revision where you got a faster speed. But 2-6 ° are totally okay, only your GPU temperature is really a bit weird... but anyway, it is normal that GPUs get really hot, I think 75° are sometimes normal (no warranty for that).
And if you only think the games are slower, why don't you also make a small benchmark? Or simply play some game overclocked and unoverclockend and jot down the min/max-fps? I also thought that Overclocking would slow down my games at first, so I made my fps-tables. Now I know better^^

I don't think that 20 FPS is fullspeed at all^^
Problems with Fraps?
