Why did you mention 200$ while you can't pay 140$ for an i5 3450 ? . Even if you bought the fastest Phenom II x4 980 , 80$ G2120 still beat it
Maybe because at
new egg and
amazon I could only find it for 200$ as you didnt post
proof of it being 140$ in any of your posts. Did I ever say I did not want a processor other than the Phenom II? I said countless times that I
do not want an overpriced intel processor. If your able to find the processor that's even better or gets the job done at around 80-100$ be my guest. Its not just about the processor, is their any ram, gpu, ect.

I live in the US, but unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a microcenter store in my state.
Edit:
Forget it.
Thank You for your help, and patience. Sorry if I was rude to any of you earlier, its just so frustrating creating the best pc within a budget. Il just grit my teeth and pay the 200$ for the intel processor. That build you made was certainly perfect, so il try that out.
Guess you can't buy i5 3450 then
As said before , Pentium Ivy Bridge(IB) [2 cores 2 threads] = Core i3 IB without Hyper Threading [ HT = 2 cores 4 threads]
_If you build this PC for video encoding software & Dolphin , you should pick
this i3 since HT will help you alot
_If you build this PC for Dolphin only , you should pick
this Pentium because Dolphin doesn't care about HT
Ofcourse , the i3 is abit faster than Pentium in Dolphin (3.1 vs 3.3GHz)
i5 3570
k
i5 3570
k = unlocked CPU (you can overclock to your heart content) . Without k , you have to buy Asrock Z77 mobo
and use
No k overclocking function
Edit : I forgot to mention Asrock no k overclocking function does not work with i3 and Pentium . If you got the i5 with low price somehow , you should do it otherwise pair either i3 or Pentium with any "B75" motherboard and don't overclock
