This trick should work for MP1 too
that actually worked lol, but why does the game do this? i tried 3.0 and it starts flawlessly, (ingame is really micro stuttery and although you can play the game in fullspeed, it isnt really enjoyable lol)
il go with this fix for now until it doesnt work anymore xD

3.5 instant crashes as soon as the logo's are done :S
no report on what happened, just dolphin has stopped working, and then i am forced to close it.

Did you downloaded the 3.5 from here ?
BTW I have the NTSC-U G2ME01, those "instant crashes" must be an issue of the Pal version G2MP01.

I encountered this problem once, back in the 3.0 days. It was eventually fixed for me, don't remember when, and current builds are fine. One thing I remember is that it started ok, and going into fullscreen caused it to go black. So, I figured out a fix: turning on fullscreen in the configuration window. It went to fullscreen before it derped, so it ran fine from there. Not sure that will help you, but that's my experience.

any idea how to fix the microstuttering? (example, i go into morphball, fps drop to 2 and go back up to full speed)
i remember this being in the orgininal metroid prime too

OpenMP (if you have the cores for it) and turning on Fast Disc Access seem to help with it, but there is no way to eliminate it entirely. I know the forum generally frowns on recommending old builds, but I had a lot of luck with 3.0-600. Nearly no microstuttering at all. Your results might be different though.
