Perhaps I am alone in this (I doubt it) but I strongly believe that arguments are one of the best teaching tools available. The competitive drive to be in the right causes people to strive to learn more. We should not stray away from them just because we are afraid that people might tell us we're wrong. The OPs question was answered adequately almost immediately after it was posted over a month ago and he hasn't come back since. Therefore I think it's safe to assume that this discussion can be continued without disrupting the function of the thread. Now, onto business. Let me offer you a few pointers for future encounters with people here if I may.

Why would you stop posting here just because you think the people here correct you too much? When you say "the way people type" are you referring to spelling? Grammar? Both? Those are important communication skills for written languages wouldn't you agree? Hell I wish people would point out my mistakes more often so I could learn from them and improve my writing skills.
Also complaining that people are being too aggressive by insulting them is generally not a good idea. Come on! You're 26 you should know better than to do that!

Nobody here knows everything above dolphin or claims to. However a lot of us do know a lot about dolphin simply due to the amount of time we've spent here over the years absorbing information and participating in community activities like beta testing and benchmarking. As such we have our doubts about anything that contradicts previously well established evidence and want them to "prove it". In other words if you state something that has been previously established as wrong by the community you must make an attempt to prove it. I know that might make us seem like "know-it-alls" but in reality all we want you to do is follow the same rules and methods that we had to follow to get here. Simply taking everyone's word for it every time anyone makes a claim would be wrong for obvious reasons. This is the only way to establish credibility to any future claims that we make. I also know that we can be a tad rude sometimes but you have to understand that we have to deal with a lot of idiots everyday. Which has a tendency to drive people nuts. Ultimately we care far more about the claims you're making and the evidence that you have to support them than who you are or how good your spelling or grammar is. Though we will still likely point these things out because writing skills are important in a domain where the only available means of communication is through writing.

This mentality strikes me as odd. I have encountered it a few times. It is similar to the formal logical fallacy "appeal to authority". It typically boils down to "I'm of a mature age and have been doing this activity that you've been discussing for a very long time." thereby implying that this somehow makes whatever statement(s) they're trying to make more valid. Let me tell you. It does not. It it completely irrelevant and should never be brought up in this context for any reason. Nobody cares how old you are or how long you've been doing things. It does not make your statements any more or less valid. In fact it performs the exact opposite of the function that you intended it to perform. It makes people think less of you. Which is why you don't see older generations of people doing it a whole lot, because they know better. Yet still I occasionally see people resort to this when backed into a corner.

While it certainly isn't the best cpu for gaming it is adequate for nearly all PC games as PC games generally don't require very much cpu throughput. Luckily we have benchmarks to use to debate this topic:

You'll find similar results from other major benchmarking outlets when looking at trinity's cpu performance in games. This assumes of course that you have a graphics card. The IGP is too slow so I guess you could be referring to that. But realistically any gaming rig should have a graphics card and you should be comparing gaming cpus based on their cpu performance. Plus you mentioned the 3570K as a better contender and that has an even worse IGP so I doubt you are referring to the IGP.

It depends. If you're on an extremely tight budget and you absolutely must have HD rendering then I would agree. However if one or neither of those is a constraint Intel offers better options.

2.5x is 1600 x 1320 which for a 4:3 game is over 1080p and for a 16:9 game is almost 1080p. Then there is aliasing to consider, which is not as big of a deal on an HDTV but bothers many people on computer monitors.

Perhaps. But the question we're really concerned with here is "how many of those games are going to run at fullspeed?". Since as I'm sure you'll agree it's frustrating to play games with slowdowns.
