You told me it was. So that is the case for your system. I can't change that.

If DX9 is faster for Dolphin then use DX9. Just because a Ferrari works better on higher octane fuel doesn't mean a shitty Toyota will too.
We give you the options so you can choose the best one for your system.
so there was a time where dx10 was actually faster than dx9 well now how could that be a fix i might never know but would i want is to shed some light on this situation if it was ever kept in the dark or even ever discussed among you
DX10 was most likely fixed because of some graphical bug which then caused a loss in performance.
well never the less i just wanted you guys to know and find out whats going on and hope for improvements one can surely dream my freind
Use DX9... if you find a graphical bug let us know though.
Quote:so i have been noticing performance boost while using dx10. first time i noticed was in pcsx2 emu whenever i would use dx9 i would get slower speeds than dx10 but its not only the emu even on pc games dx10 out performs dx9.

Actually most dx10 games perform better in d3d9 mode on any hardware.

Quote:so now im wondering can i use dx10 on dolphin emu becuase i only see open gl dx9 dx11 Confused

anyone has tried this Huh or am i the only one that see this

Like they said the d3d11 backend is backwards compatible with d3d10.

They're two different renderers made with two different APIs (basically like an entirely different language) and they do different things in different ways. One is not guaranteed to be faster than the other.

A number of factors can contribute to the performance of each. OS, drivers, hardware, which game you're running, dolphin settings, and which revision of dolphin you're using can all affect the performance of both. In some situations d3d11 may be faster but d3d9 is usually faster in dolphin.
