haddockd, have you by any chance tried the OpenAL backend yet? Not sure if it would make any difference, but it's something else to try.
OK...significant findings on my end.

OpenAL also has the static issue.

I installed, uninstalled lots of stuff, and nothing seemed to help. I did try to change the frequency and that did not help either. I did find one thing that made the static go away and that is using HLE. I literally NEVER use HLE because my PC is fast enough for LLE and it resolves issues in games in play
Wind Waker
Resident Evil 4
SMG
etc

So it appears there is something going on with LLE. The revision I tried HLE with and got no static was 3.5.

It doesn't make sense though because the static went all the way back to 3.0 in my testing...

I am going to do some more testing and report back here.
OK, got some more data...

No matter which revision I use all the way back to 3.0, LLE has the static while HLE never does. I already redumped my LLE bin files and still get the same result so I dont think it is my files.

Ideas?
haddockd I have the issue with HLE and with LLE here perosnally and I have stated that a couple of times over the course of this thread.
I wonder why mine has no issue with HLE? Super wierd
I am going to do some extended 3+ hour testing tomorrow with 3.5 and HLE to see if the issue just needs a longer time frame than I experienced with LLE.
I also recieve the audio glitch on HLE.. And the latest build with OpenAL makes no difference. And had no luck with the 3.0 version either.
I noticed I could play Mario Strikers Charged without a problem for about an hour or so. But in Super Mario Bros Wii I get it usually after 15 mins or so.
And it's always the music that goes static/speeds up/out of sync, however, lately it has just been one constant buzz sound. I do use graphical enchancements, so the effects might go down if I turn them down a bit (even though I get 100% speed either way).
For me its all sound including voices when the game has then like ToS(GC)
Yes, for me it is all sounds in game including voices, sound effects and BGM
I just played Baten Kaitos using 3.5 for 3 and a half hours with HLE and the audio never messed up for me. It sounded bad, but HLE tends to do that Smile

Stranger and stranger indeed.
