Hi I have Dolphin ver 3.5 64 bit on win 7 and i cant seem to get the wii remote plus to connect. is the newest model not compatable? my computer recognizes it as a nintendo controller so i know its reading it- but maybe its not connected properly? in my bluetooth devices i have the 4 flashing lights only come on for a bit then go away when i press 1and 2 or even sync. when the lights are off- in properties, only Bluetooth HID Device is in device functions. but when the lights are on and flashing HID-compliant game controller shows up too.
I'm going to assume it's 3rd party (from the Wii U compatible bit), and not a genuine Nintendo made Wii Remote. 3rd party wiimotes are hit and miss with Dolphin, you might have gotten a miss.
It is 3rd party, right?

No, its a licensed nintendo remote. but its the new ones they made in the blue box that says wii U on it and has a small circle in the front stating it also works with the wii
I just bought the same WiiMote with built in motion+ . It's a Nintendo wiimote. The packaging is just updated to say WiiU.

Nintendo RVL-CNT-01-TR is the ID. Even after pairing, the 4 led's blink. It gets detected in Dolphin but not detected in game. Says there is an interruption with the controller.
You have to use a work around to get the RVL-CNT-01-TR to work, it is well documented this thread

If you are using Windows there is a work around, if you have Linux you are out of luck, cant remember about Mac OS
I decided to boot into OS X and the tr wiimote works with Dolphin 3.5 out of box. Which works for me, however there are OpenGL issues that need to be addressed. I can't see tree leaves or gates in skyward sword. I will try your tutorial once more soopah, but I'm afraid either my BT 4.0 device doesn't work with the Toshiba stack.

I'm not sure why it's a stack problem, it just seems like a bug in dolphin.
Edit: Yay working. I downloaded the v9.0 install program from Soopah's link. Uninstalled the device, unplugged it. You need to go to System > Advanced System Settings > Hardware tab > Device Installation Settings.
Set it to Never install driver software from windows update.
Start the toshiba install, once it says to plugin the bluetooth patch the file C:\Program Files (x86)\Toshiba\Bluetooth Toshiba Stack\Drivers\tosrfusb\tosrfusb.inf with your device id. (Tutorial on the forums, previously linked).
You will need to copy the file to your desktop.
Save the file once patched and copy back to the older.
Plug in your BT and press OK. It should finish the install, reboot. A popup will try to auto detect devices, that didn't work for me. So I ran the bluetooth settings app (shown in soopha's tutorial) and it connected. When I started dolphin, it auto connected!
You can disable the autodetect feature in toshiba option
Well, I can't find a good place to download Toshiba windows 7 64bit Bluetooth stack 9.0.... I tried an earlier version and it worked fine hooking up the wiimote plus to my rocketfish Bluetooth. But when I launched dolphin and tried to pair up the wiimote it yelled at me about supporting only Microsoft stacks... I'm seriously running into one problem after another
@Raileyleo : select REalWiimote and hit Refresh not Pair-up
@PacMani : It must work, you need a Nunchuck for some game, and a sensor bar too. and a bluetooth dongle
