Hello,
I've installed Dolphin Emulator (v.3.5-898) and libusb on my device, to install the Wii-version from Skylanders Giants, how shall I continue? Including the installation of the Portal of Power?
Yet I haven't gathered any experience with emulators, so I'd very appreciate some instructions.
My device's system is OSX 10.7.4, processor 2,4GHz Intel Core i5 and 4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3, graphic card Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB.
Concerning graphics, 3D actually can be rendered, my main issue would be the connection of the Portal of Power and the computer.
I have joysticks, can they replace the wii-remote?

I have bought the skylanders Giants for my kid, but unfortunatelly the Portal of Power was installed from windows as HID device but it the emulator didn't see the Portal of Powe, I usually use original wii device, and I would like to not install the wii because i would like to have only one integrated system in my room for multymedia as a good PC. please, Who could help me to install the Portal of Power on dolphine?

Follow the instructions here:

After the installation is complete, start the wii-hid version of dolphin to play. The emulation has not been added to the master version of dolphin yet.

You are the first user I have found with a mac AND Skylanders.
How tech savvy are you? As there is some advanced stuff that needs to be done to support the portal on Mac for use with Dolphin.

Did you follow the Zadig procedure correctly? I guess something went wrong there.

Just download and unpack it:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/libwdi/files/zadig/
After that search for the Portal HID entry (named "Spyro Porta" or something) install the USBlib driver over it. When its ready, download the Dolphin Wii-USB branch version:
http://dolphin-emu.org/download/list/wii-usb/1/
After this it should not show up as a Hid device anymore.
Load the Skylanders ISO and enjoy! (it works for Skylanders Giants also!)
After this it should work "out-of-the-box" I still have some FPS problems, doesn't go over 35 FPS in-game but i'm checking the right thread for this right now.

Backpatch error... hmmm. Might be something to do with a specific device on your machine. There are a couple of kinks to iron out.
