hello there,

I want to buy an HP elitebook 2560p, and I'm wondering if it runs wii/cg
games on dolphin [AT A NATIVE 480p resolution!!!], I don't need a fancy
720p lol, only a native one : p

i7 2620m / HD3000

4gig of ram

160gig ssd

### if not, I have some other choices

>Lenovo Z570

i7-2670QM

6 gig of ram

nvidia gt540M

>HP envy 14

i5 430M

4 gig of ram

Carte grap ATI Radeon HD 5650

thank you : )
Lenovo Z570 is the only one which is fine for dolphin out of these 3.
As for HP elitebook 2560p, it doesnt have dedicated graphic card.
Some games might have problems even if you run at native resolution.
Not to mention it will look really, really ugly. Have you tried already or you just think you dont need better resolution without even trying ?
Why don't you buy a gaming laptop with new Ivy Bridge CPU?
All of them can run Dolphin but what's your desire ?
_Slowmotion
_Playable
_Close to full speed
You also need to list the games you want to play !
thanks for the answers guys

native resolution + close to full speed

Close to fullspeed -> You need an Core i7 3610QM or higher.

even for a gamecube game ? at 480p
Well, a fast i5 should be enough, but some games are really heavy.

For 480p, an Intel HD Graphics is enough. But you will have performance problems in some heavier games though, better get a laptop with a dedicated GPU.
oh thank you !
I guess I'll go with the envy 14, it has an i5 430m and a Radeon HD 5650
that'll be sufficient I guess considering that I need to play CG games only

Not relate to CPU
Resolution -> GPU job
Quote:i5 430m and a Radeon HD 5650
Enjoy slowmotion movie at 720p
