Yeah it's probably true, but unfortunately we won't see any new exciting games for the Wii ever again just like it always have been in the past for the other consoles.
It's been a fun couple of years though and now the Wii continues to live on with Dolphin instead.
Yeah, i heard the last story was their send off for the Wii (thus the name).

NO!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!![/color]
So I can get a used wii for cheaper that doesn't lack most of the important features of the wii (which this abomination does). Why exactly are people supposed to buy this?
Because it isn't used, and obviously won't sell well, so may eventually become a collectable item.
Collectible item or not, I wouldn't dream of ever buy something useless like that.
Besides I got 2 Wii consoles anyway, don't need another one.
It looks like a cartridge, and a really ugly one.
That idea was just pointless. Why remove that stuff and sell it for cheap? Why only in Canada? Is this some kind of conspiracy?....
I can actually see this being okay. The Wii online capabilities was crappy to say the least. Most people who bought the Wii didn't care about Gamecube games, so not having that capability is okay too. It might seem stupid to most of us who are heavily into gaming and are more aware of things like this more than the average gamer, but the normal console buyer will not be missing out on anything with this. Naturally we would rather have an actual Wii rather than this, but other people will still buy this and be happy with it. This seems like the casual gamer or the family's new Wii console and it'll be plenty good enough for them and for those who missed out on the actual Wii console launch.
