After playing at 1680*1050 for a bit, I went back to Native just to check and see if there would be difference in frame-rate but the frame-rate was largely the same and the only difference was the graphics just looked a whole lot uglier.

It's just that Dolphin is very CPU bound at the moment.
So quite often, our graphics cards are sitting there twidling their thumbs.
Just have to wait on optimization of Dolphin before everything should be 100% playable Big Grin

Very true. But for some reason, enabling full AA (anisotropic filter & MSAA) had a pretty adverse affect. It shouldn't because the graphics card is supposed to take most of the load from AA if I'm not mistaken. But honestly, the game still looks LOADS better on 1680*1050 from no AA and native so I'm not complaining.
