Set between Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion, Sakamoto said that Other M will involve Samus's commanding officer, Adam Malkovich, who dies sometime prior to Fusion. Malkovich was seen briefly in the trailer released for the game at E3 2009, speaking the line "Any objections, Lady?". The woman at the end of the trailer is not Samus, but a "very, very important character.

Samus without her suit or "Zero Suit Samus" as she is called in Smash bros Series. It will be the second time that Samus Aran appears without her battle suit and the first in a nintendo home console (in metroid series).

uhh...she was without her power suit in the first metroid when you entered the justin bailey code. :|
