Buddy could you do me a favor? Go make a backup of your memory card and make a new one.
Then go here:

Download a complete save under GameCube USB Memory Adapter Save (North America) (should be in .gci format)
Import it using the memory card manager via Dolphin. Go to Dragon Roost and check things out, I just want to confirm if things are as they should.

Hmm strange. Try using Dolphin 3.0, I know it should be possible to import .gci because I have done it myself in the past.

Hm...good news and bad news.
Good news = no crazy fire glitch in dragon roost dungeon.
Bad news = I still see double objects around torch.
I wonder if the AR code is only meant to be used for dragon roost dungeon and it doesn't fix the double image around torch. But I will test some more, and also gonna test using my original save file. Maybe AR code has been working fine, it's just that I never tested it in dragon roost dungeon.
The code have been working all along and that's why I wanted you to confirm it for me by going to Dragon Roost.
As for the double objects around torches I think I have to test this out for myself. I don't recall getting those effects on my playthroughs.

Ok, I just tested the downloaded save file using both AR code on and off at Dragon Roost. And here are the conclusions that I came up with.
1. The AR code has been working all along.
2. I thought AR code was not working because of double objects I see around torch or fire.
3. But it does fix fire effect at Dragon Roost that makes the entire screen go crazy.
So I guess the AR code was never meant to fix the double objects around fire.
The double objects problem doesn't bother me too much since it's temporary. Maybe it just adds more realism, haha. Maybe someone will come up with an additional AR code to fix the double object problem.
Anyway thank you so much for helping me. I owe you a big time.
P.S. if you don't see the double object, let me know. There must be something else I need to check to get rid of the effect.
