I am not so sure it is a good idea to post this, because I am kind of asking for some help shopping, but... Yeah. Has anyone found like a perfect controller for this emulator and whatever else? I am finding it hard to find a controller with all the perfect features, and I am a little worried those GCPad to USB adapters or Wii Classic (Pro) to USB won't work too well. And then there's the deal with the WiiU, which I plan on getting soon- If a 3rd party adapter is made for the WiiU Controller Pro thing, will it be good for dolphin? The kind of features I require is the main problem- the whole pressure-sensitive analogue-digital shoulder buttons thing the standard GCPad has going on. I've tried out a Logitech Gamepad F310, but it doesn't have the shoulder button thing and it is
always freezing up, despite being wired. (However you managed to make a controller so shitty, Logitech, I will never understand.)

Well I use an official GameCube controller with the Mayflash USB adapter (most recent version) and it works fine, not sure about the WiiU pro controller support for the future so I cannot say,
The recommended controller for this emulator is an original wiimote and nunchuck, nothing less.
I use a wired XBOX360 controller, a Logitech F510 controller and a PS3 controller emulated as a XBOX360 controller and most of my Wii games I can play without hassle.
My real Wiimotes is back in the Wii box and serves no purpose to me any longer for the moment. With right configuration you can achieve anything.
I have em all. PS3 Controller, Xbox 360 Controller, Wii Remote, Nunchuk, and Classic Controller Pro. For wii games, real wiimote with the real peripherals, no question. The classic controller pro especially is a fantastic controller. For gamecube games, it's not as easy.
- The 360 controller is easy, just get drivers ang go, but it's not that good of a controller. It's joysticks have weird ranges, it's Dpad is horrific, buttons have long travel and a spongey feel, just, terribad.
- The PS3 Controller is good, but DS3 Tool is NOT. You could use LibUSB, but if you have windows you have to use a complex process to make it work, which sucks, and you have to use PCSX2 to turn it on. I described the process over at PCSX2's forum HERE.
- Mayflash GCN adapters are good, with good controllers (critics can shut up, weird configuration or not it's a good controller), but they are a little pricey from what I've seen.
- Personally my favorite is the Classic Controller with glovepie. It's a little bit of a pain sometimes, but the classic controller is an awesome controller.

I totally agree with you, except I use the WiiMote and Nunchuk for all of my Gamecube games. I remapped them with GlovePIE, and it almost works better than an original Gamecube controller.

Ha ha ha what's this? There's nothing wrong with the DS3 Tool and you certainly do not need PCSX2 to turn it on.
I use the latest Local version of MotioninJoy/DS3 Tool and all I have to do is press the PS button, start DS3_Tool_Local and click Enable and my PS3 is instantly online and ready to use.
Can't be any more easier or simpler.
Heck even my grandma could do it with her eyes closed.
The installation in general was so easy it's ridiculous.
Using LibUSB-win32 as drivers for the DS3 on windows instead of MotioninJoy requires using PCSX2 to turn the controller on. Learn to read (though I did mistype it as Lib32, no matter). I had a link for it and everything.
And what ISN'T wrong with Motion in Joy? It's a crappy program that was poorly coded by a guy that just wants money. The program is required to run to turn the controller on and configuration and it's an IE wrapper with ads in it. Need I say more? Motion in Joy is BAD. But since he has an information monopoly on the DS3 tool, he gets tons of cash. Did I mention that the Motion in Joy is just a bad port of the open source LibUSB drivers with the open source PCSX2 activator for his closed source without attribution program? The only thing he added was the Xinput implementation, and I'd bet dollars to donuts that he borrowed that from some open source program too. Yea, this guy is satan. No, he's worse than that; he's Mamario. I've met him online, and he and Mamario share a ton of common attributes, from disappearing for eons at a time to being so freakin cheap he refused to upgrade his own forum implementation and instead tries to bring in tons of slaves staff to do it for him. I know that because I was one of those staffers. The sooner Motion in Joy dies, the better.
And to anyone using Motion in Joy, I highly recommend the LibUSB alternative. HIGHLY.
