Hi,

I'm unable to connect my Wiimote to my computer on Windows 8.

Windows detect the controller, then prompts me to enter a passcode. What is the passcode ?

If I just press "Next", my controller is apparently connected, but the 4 lights still flash on it. Furthermore, Dolphin is unable to pair with it.

Can someone please help ? I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks
Which WiiMote? Genuine WiiMote or 3rd party WiiMote? What bluetooth stack do u use?

I use an official Nintendo Wiimote, the ones sold with the WiiU packaging.

As for the bluetooth stack, how can I find out which one it is ? It's the one that comes with Windows 8, I guess ?

Thanks Smile
I had issues pairing my Wiimote plus to windows 8, my issue was that I was using the TR version of the wii remote, after I figured that out I was easily able to pair it permanently, go into your devices, on your Wii Remote Plus click the Sync button on the back, then click on 'Add a device', when it asks for you to input a code just click next. It should then install the Wii Remote, check the code afterwards, if it says "Nintendo RVL-CNT-01-TR", then I'll be able to help you further...
Actually, in Windows 8, I couldn't pair the wiimote using the new wizard because there isn't "pair without using a code" option anymore... I used the application attached to this post: simply press the red sync button and open the executable corresponding to your Wiimote version (WiiPair for the old model and WiiPair_TR for the TR model) Smile

I had this problem as well, but simply just clicking "next" without entering the code worked fine for me
Actually, it just went to the new settings app in metro style, when I select my Wiimote, it automatically generate a code and then I have a pair up error, I have no option...
i was unable to use the official wii controllers with windows 8 on my main system last night. i can connect them to the computer, but dolphin crashes once i try to pair them in dolphin.

however, everything works fine on my htpc with windows 7 (which is where i wanted to use them anyhow.

Anyone using a TR remote in Windows 8 get this working? I have this bluetooth http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007Q45EF4/ref=oh_details_o03_s00_i01

Works on my OS X hackintosh install with the TR remote just fine. The problem is OpenGL doesn't have all the DirectX stuff and the performance is lower right now. Which results in no gates. tree leaves rendered in Skyward Sword when running OpenGL.

I can pair the TR wiimote with the windows driver. But dolphin can't make it player one and remain connected. The lights still blink, device shows up in windows.

I tried installing the toshiba BT stack. I tried v8 and v9. I had to disable driver install security and manually select the driver files. The drivers installed, but my bt device wasn't working. The light was on, but it couldn't detect the wiimote. So driver isn't working with my bt 4.0 usb.

I don't know if it's really a stack issue or a dolphin issue, I'm hoping the latter, so it can be fixed.
sorry to post in here but im having a similer problem and no ones replyd to my thread yet. im on windows 7 and i can connect my wiimote to the computer and its displayd in devices.but its grayd out..anyone no what could be causing this?
