That won't help. Real Wii Remotes will not work on netplay – JMC was talking about emulated Wii Remotes.

There's nothing wrong with 360 and PS3 controllers. Emulated GameCube controllers are easier to use with netplay than emulated Wii Remotes, but which physical controller you map to them doesn't really matter.

Oh, I see. I remember trying to mess around with emulated Wii remotes, but we could never get past the first screen. I guess I'll mess around with what he suggested and hope for the best. I'm still not used to netplay.
Thanks.
Yeah, it's hard. I played Dokapon on netplay already once, I can promise that it works once you get past the Wii Remote issues.

Controller Configuration - You want all players to use GameCube Controllers as it's easier, but, the game REQUIRES a Wii remote because it's poorly designed. The Wii Remote is only needed for pre-game stuff, and it only needs to be plugged in, you don't need to hit buttons, so, we can get around this.
In the input configuration page (aka, controller config) on all PCs, you set Wii Remote 1 to emulated Wii Remote. you configure it and clear all inputs. You don't want anyone accidentally using the Wii Remote. Wii Remotes 2 - 4 can stay unplugged regardless of how many players are playing. All players will now have a Wii Remote plugged in, but no way to actually control it.
Now you startup a netplay room. Player 1 keeps the Wii Remote configured on the netplay window AND gets a GameCube Controller (for actually playing the game.) All other players just get GameCube controllers, so the end result would look something like 1---123- for a 3 player game, with Wii Remote 1 put to player 1, GC Controller 1 set to Player 1, GC Controller 2 set to player 2, GC Controller 3 set to player 3.
This will allow you to get in-game. You have 5 minutes until the Wii Remote disconnects, you have to get the game going before that happens. Once you're in-game, the Wii Remote can disconnect and you won't be interrupted.
Does this not support 4 players? I'm able to play this fine with 3 players, but whenever we bring in a fourth the game desyncs on Frame 18 every single time. Is there a fix for this? This has happened with three separate people, too, so I don't know what's up.
Hey guys, I know no one's posted in here in awhile, but I have a question. Is there any way to turn off the music in-game? Me and my girlfriend are on week like 55 of our game, and really wanna turn off the music, but keep the sound effects.

It looks like the game uses dsp files (right click the game -> properties -> Filesystem) , so to replace the audio (probably with empty noise) you can check this guide.

I still wish this game worked reliably with netplay. I get issues on frame 18, but only when I have a wii mote hooked up. Sometimes the game will work fine tho, it's very random (seems to have more trouble the more people are in the game).
That's because it's extremely hard to make everything consistent across multiple computers. Once you're setup right, it's easy.
I can also guarantee you that it is capable of working just about 100% correctly. I worked with JMC47 for a few days like, last year or something.
I was able to sit down and play with my friend across the country for several hours straight and not a single issue.
Hey guys I am not able to save the game while in Netplay. The game plays fine though. When my friends and I try to close the game the emulator gets stuck shutting down. We would have to end up force stopping the emulator because it will stay on that screen. I am not sure if the black screen is the reason why my friends and I are not able to save.
Anyone want to netplay together?
