Hi there,

i´m very new to the topic Dolphin but i´m Mario addicted and so i decided to buy Super Mario Galaxy 1&2 to play it on the Dolphine emulator without a Wii.

But till now it doesn´t work :/

when i start the game through the iso image i got only an blackscreen and nothing happend.

I tried several settings (like in many tutorials) but nothing changed. (Interface, grafics)
Is there a known bug or a hack or something like that to overcome this issue?

I tried several builds also the newst one. (Dolphin-win-x64-v3.0-843)

I appreciate every help. Smile

regards

tommy
You may have a bad dump, try redumping again.
Could be bad dumps of the game, try redumping them.

BTW what are your settings for 3.0-843?
For Wii games, you can check the disc integrity straight from Dolphin. Right click your game in Dolphin, go to Properties and go to the Filesystem tab. Right click the Partition (not the Disc) and select "Check Partition Integrity".

You can also download free tools online that can generate MD5 hashes (just google around for some). Generate an MD5 hash for your game, then compare it to verified dumps from websites like Redump.org. If they don't match, that indicates that your dump is bad, but if they do, then you have a different problem.
hy...
thanks for your replys.

i try another dump on the weekend.
i´ll keep you up to date... Smile

Try to compare the hash from your dump with the hash from redump.org
This is a good method to proove, if your dump is broken or okay.
hy again,

good news the game is working now... Smile
the damaged dump was the problem Smile
but i have still a little problem with the sound.
the soundeffekts and short music tracks, like when i got a star, are working. But the music during the gameplay i mean the background music is not there.
why that? is it not possible with a iso image or is it a bug?

You need to use LLE for accurate audio in SMG1&2 but your system is in no way powerful enough to keep up.
You can use this guide to get the necessary DSP dumps. LLE audio is quite demanding, and your system won't handle these two games at fullspeed under LLE, so the audio will stutter and sound pretty bad. You'll need a more powerful computer to run LLE perfectly. You could use the official 3.0 stable release and use the VBeam Trick though. The game will still be slow, but the audio might be acceptable.
If you're new to this:
1- VBeam Trick = disable "Idle Skipping" + enable "VBeam"
2- To enable "VBeam" right click on your game (in your gamelist), go into Properties, check the option
