Hi everybody, I'm trying to play the game but using the joystick for wheel steering controls is practically impossible. The sensitivity for turning right or left is too high. There are in-game options to adjust the sensitivity, but I have no idea why they are not working.
Does anybody know how to configure a good steering set-up in the Dolphin Controllers options? I've tried using the smooth option, but it's not working properly. Perhaps a more advanced mathematical approach is needed, such as utilizing functions like cos, sin, tan, or another speed curve function.

Can you post your controller configuration?
It's alright with the controller's configuration. I have recorded a video to show that the analog sticks are working fine. Just in case, I am an advanced and experienced user.
Do you have the same issue as me? Can you play smoothly without ultra-fast turning?
The problem may lie in how the game is programmed at its core.

Did you configure as a Standard GC controller or a Steering Wheel?

Where can you configure such an option? Ingame, there is no section where it can be configured.

I don't want to sound rude, I appreciate the help but I'm looking for someone who has played the game and has no problems using the controls.
I don't know if it's a problem with the game itself (its programming) or with the GC or Dolphin version or if the game basically expects players to get used to this type of control...

EDIT:
I've found this comment on youtube about the ps2 versión:

So... I'm looking for a formula so that the turn is not so abrupt, because in some corners it is very unfair that the car suddenly turns too much and you lose seconds on the track unfairly.
