Am I the only one that with this new Ax-HLE branch gets a lot of crackling with almost every game (GC and Wii) with the only exception of Zelda and Mario titles?
Is that a Windows XP only problem?
could be related as on xp you're confined to directsound and that thing runs its own thread which might affect some timings and synchronization stuff.
(correct me if i am wrong)
Does the game run at 100% speed? If not, then the crackling is normal behavior.
Even when games run at 100% speed there's still some crackling in every game (except Mario and Zelda).
P.S. XAudio2 is available on Windows XP too

Which game? Are you running at fullspeed?
Perhaps they are sharing the same issue of Metroid Prime 2.

I'm testing with r 3.0-844 Ax-HLE and like older Ax-HLE revisions there's still crackling with almost every GC and Wii game that I have (It's not specific of a single title) and happens at 100% speed.

However, im still getting a few missing sounds here and there, and abundant glitches. Not too bad though. I know it will improve with your work and knowledge. If I had the experience, I would try to help if needed, but I only have a basic grasp of C++.
One other thing, most of the little blips and glitch's are random, but a few of them pop up right when a distinct sound or instrument should be there when there not in ToS, just seemed interesting, just handing over my experience.
Edit: Oh, one other thing, intro cinematic when you start a new game is still stuttering really bad at 100% speed.
This is still not implemented into master, you downloaded wrong version. when you go on download, click "show all available brenches" then download from "new ax hle brench"
Latest version is 3.0-844, not 3.0-863
Hey thanks. Well, I don't know why, but its still working far better even without that version. Ill do this.
Edit: Works like a charm, absolutely amazed. Delroth, you have given new life to OC'ed AMD 1055T!
Another thing, voice quality seems a bit fuzzy. I guess that will be fixed eventually. No more crazy audio glitches though.
For some reason when I play MGS The Twin Snakes, The FPS is locked at 30 even with the frame limit set to off.
Sounding good so far! Here's what I found:
Pausing the game in Mario Kart Wii temporarily amplifies the sound so much that it sounds like static, the left and right audio channels seem to be flipped, and some echo effects that are present in the LLE backend aren't yet emulated. (though they weren't emulated in old AX HLE either)
