Just curious, has anyone tried Xenoblade Chronicles with the new AXWii? I know that game required a HLE hack to have proper sound before.
Anyone know about Rampage Total Destruction (NTSC-U)? It locks up on the most recent revision.
Another report: Paper Mario The Thousand-Year Door issues with background music seems to be fixed, but the intro music only is still broken
Just pushed 3.0-837: GC AX now handles AUX mixing better, causing EA games to output sound/music properly. Tested with FIFA 06 on GC, but most EA games should share the same audio code.

Please test and report if that fixes more GC games (there should be no Wii change linked to that revision). Maybe RE echo issue is fixed with this.
Guess I gotta wait until someone else tries the game to confirm whether or not I was hallucinating. Rampage Total Destruction (NTSC-U) is broken. This is the third and last time I'm mentioning it.

I'm actively testing it now. Like you've mentioned in your first post, the HLE clicking will still be present due to the syncing issues and it is. Compared to the old HLE though, this isn't constant clicking that requires a restart to fix. With your new implementation, the clicking is now more like a small click/pop (usually at the start of a new sound effect or voice over) and is actually very tolerable. Sometimes you don't even notice the noise and just tune it out.

So yea this is a very good thing so far. If we can figure out the sync issues (mind you I never go below 30 fps) we'll have this in the bag.

A side note about the Xenoblade hack. From my understanding on looking at the source for the patch, what it does is lower the number of maximum samples, forces the emulator to be at 44.1 KHz sample rate, and changes the buffer size (the rest being changes due to above). Maybe it comes down to sample rate?

Other side notes - Tried Vbeam and it made it worse. Tried limiting the fps by audio, and its relatively the same. Changing the backend does nothing either (both the same). Audio comes out clearer overall (despite the clicking). There is so far no loss in audio playback save for the clicking mentioned.
nintendo_nerd: I started a new game in Rampage, got in-game and everything is working fine so far. Am I missing something? Can you be more specific?
3.0-837 actually does not completely fix EA games sound (still some static), I did not test it properly. Sad

Last revision got in game, waited about a 90 seconds after loading a level and then it locked up. I know the Wii version should boot up now, but the Gamecube version crashes.

It probably comes from your dump. As Starscream said this game works (and has always worked) like a charm
