i get about 45 FPS in the beginning - on some areas in the observatory i get even more - but the strange thing is that it doesnt feel like it's running at that speeds - its stuttering and like slowmo

*edit*: I´ve tested the 3404 release.... no comment to this. Nothing goes right.

That would be the effects of CacoFFF's watchdog patch. It causes the FPS counter to completely screw up. I think setting watchdog to 60 will fix the FPS counter. Alternatively, just DON'T get a build with the watchdog patch.
By killing explorer.exe I get 30 FPS in the observatory, 35 some places. Setting down resolution doesn't gain me anything but AA slows games down 15-20 FPS (it's broken kinda, since it didn't slow them down a while back). Anyway, if you're going to compare speed just do it by standing at the very starting point of the observatory, it can vary a lot as you move and jump.

the watchdog is already set to 60 - i tried it with different settings but as i've noticed that the watchdog (at least for me) didn't change anything in speeds i do not change it anymore - just sometimes the speed gets even worse

PS:
although the speed in many games is way too slow - i have to say that the dolphin team made a excellent job - the emulator increased a lot since the first revision - thanks for that!!
Well people I just upgraded to gtx-260 from my 3870. CPU and rest is same, even dolphin version. Difference is BIG - B-I-G.!! Now in mario I get 90% time full speed, on begining no matter if I start move or not I get full speed 60fps, walking into first city it get just a little slower, but only some short moments. But thats not important, what IS important - mario when running he really run, it feels almost too quick! Before even when I got sometimes reading like 50fps in some cases, its not same speed! Now even 40fps fees good. Also tried metroid prime beginning, got at least 24-35fps where I got arround +-10 before in very beginning, but it just feel ok no matter what. Overal, changing gpu/vendor gave me incredible difference and I tested on 640x480 only yet still... Intel+nvidia+creative F.T.W.
Hi all,

i'd like to know if those of you who have a CPU E8XXX (like KHRZ if he's here) and that it can easily be overclocked to 4GHZ, manage today to run Galaxy at nearly full speed (wiith default settings but in 720p) ?
I belive i read that and i want to know if its true (and then i would buy itWink ).
With my config (E4300@2.9GHZ, 4go RAM, 8800gt) it's really limit: 30fps on the observatory and worst on bees's planet. But good on small ones.

Will i have a really benefit if i change my CPU ??

Thanks very much.
