The Hyper 212 Evo is an average cooler in my opinion Tongue If you have a big case, get the Thermalright HR-02 Macho instead.

Looked at this mobo and it seems ivy bridge support was added in a bios update, if the board i get doesnt have this bios version that supports ivy bridge would i still be able to flash the newest one?
Yep, you can manually update the BIOS. There should exist a special tool from the manufacturer.

No , Z77 and Z75 don't need to update bios , they're designed for Ivy Bridge (3rd gen)
Only the old Z68 and P67 need to do that because these mobo are designed for Sandy Bridge (2nd gen)
Built the new PC and dolphin runs alot better
Thanks to everyone who helped

new specs in sig, and yeah i will be overclocking it when i get a new cooler Big Grin
I'll have to agree with, cluthz. Though your choice was made... Just be sure to monitor those temps. ivy does not clock high on air well at all. The cpu can take much higher heat but things get out of hand when over clocking. Since you bought a 'k' I have to assume you plan to do so. Get friendly with HWmonitor is you are not already. You will also find that upping the voltage is a must with that cpu and the heat goes up as well! anything 1.3V or over is bad IMO.

I might get a water cooling unit instaled when i got the cash for it, a buddy of mine is good with putting them in i dont plan to take it over 4.2ghz anyway so it should keep cool enough
