try disable "Config->Wii->Use EurRGB60 Mode (PAL)"

This is an old topic, but i have the same problem and i cant get it to fix. I am using the SVN R 6505M version. Perhaps there are ideal setting i need to set for windwaker. I am new to dolphin so still trying to get it all under control. I have the exact same problem that the original poster made. i seem to be using the newest builds of everyhting. Any thoughts?

We are still not sure what is causing this issue. All I can tell you is to try different revisions and settings until it goes away.

i have the same problem, right after talking with the "King of Red Lions" black screen, tried different plugins/settings

i cant however test different revisions easily because the save state is not compatible between revisions so i have to play through all cutscenes again and again

That's usually a sound plugin issue.

Try with LLE, it may be slower but it might solve your problem. (after the cutscene revert back to HLE and away you go!)

no that did not work thank you, i ended up replaying the whole fortress level again (20min) with Dolphin-r4714 and got past this issue, then save and load it up in the newest version and could continue

the save drops you off at the beginning always so you have to kill the goblin because of the light again and go to the top again too

bahaha nice, the newest revision for me works perfectly, no black screens, perfect sound, weeeeeee time to game

I am using revision 6888 and I have this problem with win7 64 bit, enabling fix item hang makes the sound disappear..

Known issue. It's unavoidable. Fix item hang is essentially a hack. Just turn it on, get through the area, save, turn it off and restart the game. Do that every time you encounter a black screen.
