I have no idea why they dont want a wiki here. It would be great stuff. Maintained by users for users. I dont see any extra work for the devs here besides installing mediawiki (or any other system). I dont want to have to read through 10s of pages of discussion to get to that one setting wich lets the game run better..
I think a wiki would be a good idea too. Honestly, what would be wrong with it? It would sure help to answer questions.
There is no reason why it shouldn't be done, I only see more good coming from making a wiki than Harm.
If you want it so much, feel free to do it

Maybe this is why they don't want it? :P Too much trouble also having to take care of a Wiki? xD
A wiki would only work if instead of answering noob questions everyone posted the link, if anyone told them whats up like install this or that, the system would break down. Anyway, stickies already address the noob problems so if they don't feel like searching or using stikies i say we ignore them...
Edit: Also, I hate it when people make biased polls Example:
Do you like cupcakes?
1: HECKS YEAH I LOVE CUPCAKES
2: No, I hate how cupcakes are so delicious and i don't know whats best for me
I talked about using a wiki for Dolphin's game compatibility list something like one week ago with Chaoscode, but for some reasons, he didn't really like the idea...
Even though I think that would be the best idea for an ever updated compatibility list and more in that case (screenshots, videos...)

First of all, my poll wasn't intended to be very serious. In fact, this whole discussion went very serious - unexpected.
I, like some others, thought that a wiki would just be a logical step to give all the shattered and outdated informationen in the forums a shape. So I suggested them to add it, with no evil intend. I still believe that a wiki is a splendid idea.
Anyhow. If the admins don't want to set it up or maintain it, they have their reasons. But these reasons don't come traceable to me in terms of usability.
So I volunteer to set it up and maintain it. All I need is enough access to your servers. Or, if you don't like that idea, point the domain wiki.dolphin-emu.com to my server and I'll set it up there. I would add my own ads though, to keep it funded.
^I agree with above post.
And just another thing. This doesn't have to be maintained by the devs and admins. The community can maintain this. It doesn't have to be the weight of the world on one person.
