Good news and bad news.

The good news is that by using LLE (I had previously acquired the two correct files and placed them in the GC folder), the awful screeching noises are completely gone Big Grin

Bad news is I'm now getting audio skipping, repeating and general jittering. :/ and there's a noticeable delay between visuals and audio. D: what settings can I tinker around with?

To get LLE to work properly you have to run the game full-speed.
If you can't run the game full-speed the sound will stutter and will eventually be desynced with video. This is what you seem to get.
LLE is demanding and RE4 is a demanding game too so a powerful CPU is needed. You (and I Big Grin ) DO have a powerful CPU. But you'll have to overclock (your "K" processor is made for this) to get the best performance
Unbelievable that you need such a powerful processor to effectively emulate a lower power console Tongue

Anywho, overclocking seems like complicated business, and since I've only recently built my first PC and I had so much trouble (still do) with booting issues, and random Overclockjng Failed messages, despite never overclocking. Still need to buy a mobo speaker to effectively diagnose the issue. But I digress Big Grin, you wouldn't happen to know how to easily overclock would you? If it makes a difference, I have indeed got a Coolermaster Hyper 212 Evo cooler and about 6 case fans, so hopefully heat isn't too much of a problem.

My motherboard is an ASUS P8Z77-V PRO.

Will closing other program's or changing Task Priority in Task Manager make a difference? Or anything within Dolphin itself that will make a difference, for example Framelimit? I've also got Anisotropic Filtering and Anti-Aliasing set to Max, if those make a difference.

Sorry to be taking up your time ^_^

It isn't that difficult. Especially with this processor. But if it's the first time you overclock I recommend you to read several guides and go onto specialized sites before. Then if you need more help come back here. I or other members will help you.

Good choice.

Good choice too.

Not really.

If a game run full-speed and have speed drops you can try to set Framelimit to "Off".

Reducing graphical enhancements can increase your performance of course
I'll tinker around with graphical settings when I get home. As for overclocking, I'll try and find some guides to see how to do it. I have never overclocked before. My PC does come with AI Suite, which allows all kinds of enhancements and tweaking within windows, but I expect overclocking within Windows isn't the best idea. It has this automatic Overclocking thing where it gradually increases one value, then reboots, gradually increases the next value and then reboots. I'll either try that or manually do it in the BIOS once I find some values online.
I've been tinkering, and I found a few settings that I tried applying but were not actually making any difference. The guy in the video was using an Asrock motherboard, and I was trying to follow it as closely as possible. Whilst running prime 95, temps stay around 60, and after about 5 minutes they were peaking at 65. Unfortunately, the clock was maxing at 3.8Ghz, I have no idea why... Any help you can offer me? Sad

The settings he suggested was a Core Ratio of 42, and changing the Offset Voltage to -0.065V. He mentioned LLC to be set to level 5 but I couldn't find this option. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

EDIT:
Someone from Anandtech is saying the following:

I recommend you try the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility for your first overclock. You don't need to reboot when changing multipliers/voltages, and it works a LOT better than the software included by motherboard manufacturers.

Start with everything default in bios.

First you need to go into bios and change vcore to offset mode, but don't change the voltage (I set mine to +.005v because +0v wasn't available). In power saving features, disable C3/C6 and Package C states, but make sure you leave C1E enabled. Disable spread spectrum. Basically everything else can be left at default.

Once in windows, load up the Intel utility and max out the Turbo Boost Power Max and Core Current Limit, like so:
*Screenshot here*

This basically turns off TDP limitations (your chip is rated at 77w TDP but you want to be able to draw more power than that when overclocked).

To overclock, drag the multiplier sliders up and hit apply. Do not play with the reference clock, only multipliers. You'll probably want to go up 1x at a time and run Prime95 or IBT to test for errors. When you reach a threshold where you're no longer stable, you can either increase the voltage, or drop your multiplier back down.
Very sorry to keep mucking you about like this.

I've overclocked by CPU to 4.2Ghz, and that's the Turbo Ratio thing. So idle, it sits at 1600Mhz, and running Prime95, ramps right up to 4.2. The temperatures were at around 80. Highest after 5 minutes was 85. Is this a safe temperature? I also tried running RE4 again, and the same jitters and delay was happening, and I tabbed out to check my CPU frequency, and it was at 1600Mhz... How can I make the game use more CPU power?
85c on cores is perfectly acceptable depending on your CPU's TJMAXX (3570's is 105C I think)

You will want to turn off Speed Step off to fix the clock issue
I'll turn that off and retry RE4. I understand what this does, but doesn't this mean my CPU is never going to chill out? :') if I remember rightly, it turns down the CPU when not needed, is it particularly safe to do this?
SpeedStep is off and weirdly, my temperatures are roughly 40, whilst not doing anything, yet it's clocked at 4.2Ghz. Core temp reported a max of 60 whilst playing RE4. As for the sound, I fixed gunshot and reloading delay by changing the audio backend to XAudio2. I was testing it without any graphical enhancements, will try WITH them later. The skipping/repeating of sounds is still there, it's always whenever I open or close a playing manual (I'm continually re-loading from the first typewriter for all these tests), or during the main menu when I actually load the game.
