Does this game work properly now? Last time I tried it (Half a year ago) all the graphics were corrupted.

Although the wiki says it's fixed, the backgrounds are still corrupted (4.0-1232).

Sounded suspicious that it was fixed when I was pretty sure no one knew what was wrong about. Make an issue report about it if none exists on the issue tracker.

Should have mentioned this only happens in D3D (didn't know that at the time of original post). I submitted a bug report.

Disable anisotropic filtering by setting it to 1x, the above ini entry disables bilinear filtering but every type of texture filtering needs to be disabled for this game to work properly.

After having the same issue as everyone else, I downloaded 4.0-594 and it works completely fine. No messy backgrounds or anything. It seems it somehow got broken in newer versions.
I've also run into a new problem. When using netplay to play with my friends, we had terrible de-sync issues. still haven't figured that out yet.
