I've recently begun playing this game again, and I'm having one issue with the game, although it's not a huge issue. Every time a battle starts, the transition slows down heavily. The sound still plays accurately, and I don't think fps drops, but the battle takes literally 10 seconds to transition before "Fight!" is announced. I've been googling this problem with no results, but wondered if maybe anyone had the same problem and found a solution?

Hey, recently got the undub version of this game, but seem to have encountered a game breaking problem.

At first the game ran on Dolphin without issue as well, I did not even have to apply any fixes. However, during battle the game appears to freeze whenever a special attack is used by anyone other than the main character (his special attack does not cause the game to freeze). The game freezes completely, only a beeping sound can be heard and the emulator needs to be restarted. Also, whenever the freeze occurs, the name of the special attack appears to be shown in a garbled fashion (see picture below).

I've read somewhere that using fstfix would solve a freezing problem (I do not know if it is the same problem or not). I applied the "t s g" command, which itself appears to have worked, but the freeze problem remained.

I tried running the game in single core mode, as that was known to fix issues in the previous game, but it did not solve the problem.

It seems that the problem is specific to the undubbed version.

That build is ancient and we do not provide support for it. Please download and try the latest development build and see if the problem persists.

Thanks for the quick reply. That actually worked! Well, the newest stable version (4.0.2) didn't. However, the newest developmental version (4.0.8627) did the trick. The issue completely disappeared, the game runs perfect now. I'm not sure though whether that is due to the build itself or due to the fact that it appears to use different initial settings.

Now I only have to find a way to undub the game's soundtrack as well Big Grin too bad Delroth's undub tools don't cover that.

Anyway, thanks a lot. Sorry for not trying the newest dolphin version right away, I should have thought of that.

I need your help for a crash on Dolphin 5.0 at this part of game (7.22) :

I have this error that appears:

I'm not far from the end of the game, here is my backup:

I do not know what to do, I had no worries about the whole game otherwise.
My backup was based on version 5.0 of Dolphin, I do not try on another version, and I have already changed a lot of settings without changing anything ...

Thank you for your attention.
