Alrighty, fair enough.

Something about one of the new Dolphin revisions eliminated red shadows at higher resolutions, even with AA. Disabling vertex rounding brings them back. This didn't work for me before I updated to 9890 (even though the wiki claims that it works). However, the box is still there.

This is at:
1440p
2x SSAA
16x Anisotropic Filtering
Scaled EFB Copy is on
Force Texture Filtering is on
Vertex Rounding is on

Any theories as to why this is happening? It's pretty huge for this game.

Can we seriously get some sort of solution or fix for this? The Wiki says to fix the blue box by changing the XFB emulation method from Virtual to Real, but that option no longer exists as of the latest Dolphin build. The blue box appears in the top left corner of the screen at every Internal Resolution setting and no matter what XFB settings are enabled.

Neither of these settings, wether they're both on, both off, or only one of them is on, makes the blue box disappear.

Hi, I'd like to say that the Blue Box issue is still here. The previous post by Nextstone is still valid.

I'm running these settings on build 5.0-11038:
Auto resolution
8x SSAA
16x AF
Scaled EFB Copy ON
Force Texture Filtering ON

Alright I guess I'll throw my observations into the mix here.

From what I've been able to tell, the blue box isn't just a blue box the game is rendering for no reason. The top left corner of the screen is being offset up and to the left for some reason and the part of the image that would get cut off outside of the screen space is wrapped back and put in the gap between the offset portion of the image and what is correctly positioned.

The setting that seems to have the most impact as of 5.0-11333 (and I assume a considerable number of versions prior) is vertex rounding; it affects the box and the red texture errors that appear on the ground.
If you toggle it on and off on the title screen you can see that it shifts the title image and everything in the top left corner up and to the left slightly.

After starting the game and getting out of Spongebob's pineapple, stand on the road just outside. If you move the camera around you, the amount that the top left corner is being offset seems to change depending on where the camera is facing.

On a side note, with vertex rounding off the offset is considerably reduced and it looks like only the skybox is wrapped back in the small offset gap.

I've managed to play at a higher resolution without any issues by doing those two things:
1. Enabling Vertex Rounding which removed weird pink shadows but, at the same time, created the weird box on the top-left(can be found in graphics>hacks)
2. Using the AR code (043cd04c 00000000) from the wiki to get rid of the box.(game's properties>ar codes)
Those two combined removed any visual issues for me.

Hope this helps someone because it took me a while to get the game working at anything above the native resolution.
There is an audio issue with the stereo channels being switched (left = right and right = left).

If you play with headphones, the solution is simple: switch your headphones Big Grin

Dolphin Version: 5.0-11617
Settings: Default
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
CPU: Intel Core i5-3230M
IGP: Intel HD Graphics 4000
followup: I should have run the test with the newest Dolphin Dev Build version from the start, sorry. So I just did that with Build 5.0-11813 and the stereo issue remains here too.
If I recall correctly, this audio bug happens on console as well.
I've got another issue report:

Description
A single button input randomly gets recognized as 2 consecutive inputs. It affects any button and happens rather rarely, like 1 out of 30 inputs and sometimes even 2 or 3 times in a row.
In game it can lead to a normal jump becoming an instant double jump that can result in failed platforming.

Demo
Here is a demonstration browsing in the game menu. While I'm browsing down, the double input happens 3 times. It's best to watch in HD (for 60FPS) and with sound on:

Note: In this demo, i pressed the d-pad button each time to browse down/up. Though I also tested it by holding down the d-pad button so the game browses down/up automatically, and the issue appears aswell.

Cause
After some testing (and making sure it's not my gamepads fault), I found the issue to be related to vsync. The issue happens only when vsync is on.
Then I tested the stable Dolphin 5.0 version: This issue doesn't appear here at all, with or without vsync.
After that, I checked 3 other games with the dev build and vsync on: no issues
So it's just this game with the dev build while vsync is on.
