It means that's the build where the problem started happening, so if you use the build before that one, it won't happen anymore (but you'll lose all of the other improvements that have been made since then). If any developer is interested in figuring out what's causing the problem, it also means the changes in that build are a good place to start.
I'm working on updating some textures for this game and would love to help fix the two remaining issues.
I ported Ralf's widescreen hack from the PAL version to NTSC. Cuz it's amazing.
Code:
[Gecko]
$Widescreen hack NTSC
C20C05BC 00000002
C002904C EC010032
D0010008 00000000
I don't know any debugging features in dolphin really. I can learn quick but I haven't even gotten around to compiling dolphin on my own yet.
Here's what I've learned since I started writing up this post:
The top left box
It seems to contain a top-down view of spongebob + occasionally other models. I'm guessing this is a lightmap that's stored in the EFB, then blit over with the underlying layer? I dunno, I'm just an amateur.
Regardless, there are a couple variables that can stretch/ squeeze it a bit and remove the difference between the EFB sizes (which I'm guessing is a problem).
This is a temporary fix until I can figure out a better one. It leaves a bit of a tear line where the blue box used to be, but it's better than the box.
Code:
$Blue Box slight-fix
043cd04c 00000000
The shadows
I have no idea. I tried cheesing them by moving them slightly into the ground, but spongebob's shadow is the same height as the red and black shadows everywhere so... I have no idea.
Now for the speculation.
I think they're the same problem.
Anti-aliasing seems to be blending the edges. the box edge goes away if there are more than two layers it has to blend (like if it's calculating Gary and spongebob's shadow).
Is this something I should just hack together with gecko codes or is there a dolphin dev nearby who can point me in a direction?
Yo. I've been having a problem where the stereo for Spongebob: BFBB is reversed. Left audio is coming out of my right speaker, right audio is coming out of my left speaker, and it's an issue that's exclusive to this game. Any solutions or explanations?

That is how it is suppose to be...

Fixed my post. Also tested if my other games have a stereo problem, and it's still just this game.
So is there no way of making the game have Anti-Aliasing and with the blue box gone? Couldn't someone make a code to fix this? Someone did for The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie.

you sneak by holding the analog stick halfway. every character can do this, but it's only useful when spongebob does it.
