Yes, if you format the memory card by pressing Z, all of the saves for your other games will be gone.

Are you using memory card files or GCI folders in Dolphin?

Are you mixing save games from different regions on the same memory card?

Did you use save states as well as saving to the memory card?

Yeah, game related support requests are an exception in order to keep reports/info for titles consolidated.

Unclear if it will help but, you should be able to swap out the file used to store memory card info under Config \ GameCube \ Device Settings to preserve the state of saves. Multiple saves on the same memory card are needed for the few titles that share data via the memory card.
