Nah should work fine. But you'll probably have to reduce your IR
I tried that. The green box appears even on native res. As i said, disabling XFB fixes the green box issue but then cutscenes just display a black screen

I know Warrior Within and Two Thrones (the 2nd and 3rd PoP games) work fine on Dolphin, it'd be a shame if the original doesn't.
Hi,
So,I tried the GBA link using Dolphin 4.0.2 and VBA-M SVN1229 and it doesn't seem to work. The GBA version starts lagging but I don't see any notification that it's connected or something and I don't even receive the original Prince of Persia game on the GC version.
I've activated all GCN switches on my GBA save when I wasn't connected, but this shouldn't be a problem because in this guide...:
Code:
https://www.gamefaqs.com/gba/915023-prince-of-persia-the-sands-of-time/faqs/32287
...it is said: "There are three GCN switches that you must step on in order to play the original Prince of Persia on the GCN. You do not need to be connected to the GCN while stepping on these switches; stepping on all of them and then later connecting to a GCN will do."
And also there is supposed to be health regen in the GCN version although I don't see any so there's probably something wrong in one of the emulators although I can link The Sims Bustin' Out with the same settings in both emulators (even though VBA-M still lags but I can connect) but this one doesn't even seem to connect.
Sorry for "bumping" an old thread but it's a "Game Support" thread after all so it shouldn't be a problem, should it?
Thanks

Bumping a game support thread is fine. However, 4.0.2 is not supported anymore, and there have been improvements to GBA linking in later versions, so I doubt you'll get any advice other than switching to a 64-bit system that can run Dolphin 5.0.
But as I already said I am able to link Sims Bustin' Out just fine. Or do I need to get to a certain part of the game for it to work? As I stayed in the main menu while linking. And also, thanks for the reply

Okay,so I found out that it was a region issue,my GC game was NTSC while my GBA game is PAL so I got a PAL version of the GC game and it works now. Now just to convert that save and I am ready to roll as I don't really want to start over. I kinda knew that the region's the issue although I wasn't sure, until now.
Sorry for so many posts but I just have to ask,it's probably not an emulator issue, but I hope someone can help me (someone who actually done it already would be best). So I succesfully managed to connect this game to the GBA version and I have all 3 switches pressed in my GBA save although I did not receive original Prince of Persia on the GC version. Do I need to do something else? I know there's another way to unlock it without the connection but it's just a little weird because it actually IS connected because my life refills in the GC version and there is a GC icon on the GBA version and "0/3 secret doors opened" (1/3 when I broke the first box) or something like that. Yeah I pressed the switches when I wasn't connected but this guide
https://www.gamefaqs.com/gba/915023-prince-of-persia-the-sands-of-time/faqs/32287 says (in section: "003-Switches in the GBA Game" without the quotation marks): "...stepping on all of them and then later connecting to a GCN will do." so that's probably not the problem. I also though like maybe I also have to break all three of those boxes so I think I'll just continue playing and breaking the 2 remaining boxes and see if it works and if not,I'll probably just use the "no-connection needed" way to unlock the original Prince of Persia game.
EDIT: I've contacted the author of the guide, even though I doubt he'll answer but we'll see...
Thanks
