Hello Everyone,

I think there is a bug. I running dolphin-emu-20151218_e638775-x86_64-1_SBo. I have 2 issues with it.

1.Going in forest 1 game locks up.[Image: dolphin.jpg]

2.evdev for some reason i have to keep reconfiguring the controller  every time i run dolphin.

I had to revert to dolphin-emu-6502 which does not have both these issues.
It sounds like you're using builds from some other site. Have you tried the official development builds? Forest 1 never crashes if you have a good dump and an official Dolphin build.
Hello Aleron Ives,

Checked my md5sum to redumps.org and they both match.

I had some issues compiling newer versions of dolphin so i used a version from
http://ponce.cc/slackware/testing/dolphin-emu/
You might want to check in on one of the IRC channels for help with compiling Dolphin, as we can't exactly provide guarantees for builds that somebody else made. Forest 1 doesn't crash on official Windows Dolphin builds, so there's either something wrong with Slackware or something wrong with the builds that you got.
Hello Aleron Ives,

Ok i compiled dolphin-emu-4.0-8863-dirty. The issue with the forest is gone but the issue with having to reconfigure
the controller everytime i run dolphin remains.
After configuring the controller, do you save the profile? Can you then load the profile upon restarting Dolphin?
Hello KHg8m3r,

I tried that and it did not work. The problem seems to be evdev as the older versions of dolphin with SDL do not have
the peoblem.

I Have been looking for the older forums and trying to figure out what is going on, When I load into the PSO rom, I get asked to accept their EULA for their non existent servers, and the screen for setting up date and time never comes up. The emulator goes black and honestly looks like it crashes. Everyone says its a video setting but it seems like the ROM is trying to get the system time to display and it cant thus crashing the game. I never get the opportunity to say no that time does not match. Any help would be greatful
Hello Skizoalpeo,

You must agree to EULA then for the second question hit no otherwise the game just hangs.
I'm not sure if I've found a regression in the latest development builds, or whether this is intentional behaviour, but I'm experiencing a severe performance drop. I bisected the problem and found 4.0-8983 is the revision that introduces the performance decrease. To experience it, select Episode II offline, go to Central Control Area, and just stand in the fog in the first room. I've disabled the framelimit in order to benchmark my performance, and in 4.0-8983, I get about 25 FPS here while doing nothing (below full speed); in 4.0-8979 (the previous build), I get 40 FPS (well above full speed). I can create approximately the same performance drop in 4.0-8979 by unchecking the "Fast Depth Calculation" checkbox that was removed in 4.0-8983.

I thought the point of 4.0-8983 was to force all games to use Fast Depth by default, because Slow Depth isn't needed on most games anymore, but it appears that for whatever reason, any build after this change was made runs at Slow Depth speed for me. Is this intentional, is Dolphin incorrectly detecting that my GPU can't use Fast Depth, is there a new driver requirement to get Fast Depth to work automatically on 4.0-8983, or...? Confused
