I'm running the EU version, but I am seeing a Japanese flag in dolphin. Along with that, my UI icons (Buster etc) are showing up as Japanese characters while everything else is in English.

Any tips?

You probably just acquired the wrong ISO or one that had been tampered with.
IIRC, that's the 30fps patch that does that – all the patch does is change the game's region to Japanese, which evidently makes the game assume it's running on an NTSC TV.

Your cpu is the problem, AMD A10-4600M APU is a weak cpu for dolphin so changing graphic settings doesn't affect speed.

It's incredibly easy to just run the game on an actual Wii if you don't have the hardware for Dolphin. Why bother dying when you can just buy a real console and some controllers for <$200?

This is what's always confused me about people who casually use emulators – how the hell do you expect them to be always full-speed and problem-free? They're incredibly complex pieces of software that run *other* incredibly complex software inside themselves, and they're made *entirely* in developers' free time. Why ever expect emulators to be efficient, watertight, and cleanly-produced?
Evening again fellas. I've been reading around and tinkering with settings for a few days, and I figured I would ask for an opinion.

I occasionally get audio stutters/pops and slowdown/speed up when navigating menus and every now and again during a cut scene.
For example: If I open my map, the speed will go up to 102%, then down to 99%. Giving me an audio blip. When I exit the map menu, it can drop down to 83%, and give me another blip.

I'm on version 4.0.1975 (Best results so far) with the HD pack.
I use OpenGL, HLE, and XAudio2 (The problem is seemingly much worse with OpenAL)
I've disabled Enable Idle Skipping, MMU, MMU Speed Hack, and VBeam Speed Hack.
I'll provide screen shots.

Any settings that you guys think I should adjust?

Much appreciated! Smile

Edit: My PC specs are listed in my profile. If you would like more information, I would be more than happy to provide it.
Don't disable Idle Skipping – it somehow tends to fix more issues than it causes, despite being a mild hack. Re-check it in the main options and make it a blue square in the game-specific options.

I'll give it a shot! Thank you very much. Smile
It seems I've run into a new problem.

In colony 9, things look great. But the moment I go into Tephra Cave, or the Bionis Leg, everything looks resed down.
No settings have changed from the images I posted earlier. FPS remains constant.

Any ideas?
