But how is that even possible. If my system is good enough to run the Colony 9 part, how can't it run a stupid cave ? As far as i know, a game lags/drops the more elements it must load. If it work on a worldmap, why does it drop where it shouldn't ? I played Xenoblade before on Dolphin, probably a year ago, and don't recall having such problem.

Disable the hi def texture pack.
Well that's the only reason i play the game again actually...
I'll just deal with it i guess, it won't drop on some areas.

just try to use 3.5 or 4.0 it will be faster im sure
No, use the latest Dolphin version.
The latest is 4.0.2 the one i'm using right ?
Latest development versions are much faster. Dolphin is currently nearing 4.0-2000
Really ? Well there i go then !
A last question, what are the things that could help get a better framerate and avoid choppy sounds ?
Cause i noticed when i battle against multiple ennemies (tons of spiders in cave) i get to 10 fps suddenly with my ears screaming.
It's weird tho, i tried disabling the custom textures, but it's the same, absolutely the same ! I swear a year ago i didn't have any trouble like that, maybe i messed up something in the configurations.

EDIT : Wow the game does run smoother with the new release, amazing !

fantasy

I have new display with 21:9 aspect ratio and try to run Xenoblade Chronicles.
It is amazing that I can see more than 16:9 acpect ratio. I don't believe that it works because even some PC games didn't work with 21:9.

I also make a video of intro in 21:9:

[Image: hello.gif]I am trying to use Dolphin for real for the first time (ie more than just launch a game and see it works) to complete Xenoblade Chronicle comfortably in HD with my x360 gamepad. I have :
- downloaded the HD pack v5, put the Hacks/Texture Cache/Accuracy slider on fast
- checked Advanced/Load Custome Texture
- copied the all folder SX4P01 in D:\Documents\Dolphin Emulator\Load\Textures (which is my default Dolphin folder)

It seems the texture are loaded because the game is really long to start but I am not sure the texture are applied :
- I have put the optional texture [~Controller-] Xbox 360 Buttons but it change nothing in the menus (see screenshot attached)
- I have put an optional straploader to have a quick test to see if the new texture are applied, but again it doesn't work and I have the default "wiimote injury prevention" screen

I use Dolphin 4.0.2 in OpenGL with this configuration :

1. What did I do wrong ? [Image: jap.gif]

2. Secondary question : what is the correct mapping of the X360 controller to work with the button of the pack ?

3. Additional issue : I have tried also the Direct3D11 graphic parameter but I have again no special texture and I have lot of issues :

Thanks a lot for helping me !
Try again with a recent version of Dolphin: https://de.dolphin-emu.org/download/list/master/1/

Also, here's the config I'm using with the 360 controller. extract and put the ini into the folder xxx\Documents\Dolphin Emulator\Config\Profiles\Wiimote
Then in wiimote settings in Dolphin, choose "emulated wiimote" and select the profile I've given you.
