That said, there have been a lot of improvements with Dolphin (e.g. sound is now perfect as long as you don't go below fullspeed) and if you could play it well back then you should also be able to play it with a recent version. [I'm playing the game with Tino's DX9 build, but that's because my PC is too old to be able to play the game at full speed with a master build.]

And your CPU is good enough to handle Xenoblade for sure. Try the latest dev builds out! If you don't like them, you can always go back to the old one. It's not going anywhere.

thanks, i'll go do that! I'm actually surprised that my save was still intact after 2 years. Got hyped when I saw the Xenoblade X trailers.
hey, do you guys know of any way to increase the draw distance for the game?
? I'm pretty sure that can't be done. The game wasn't made for the PC where you have different hardware and thus an option makes sense. It's a Wii game and the developers had to strike a balance between performance and image quality. And Dolphin is just emulating the wii game, so it can't just change the way stuff is being loaded in the game.
Can anyone explain to me why there are like 3 cut scnes in this game that runs like shit and doesn't scale, I assume its because they are video, but the quality is exactly like in game so idk. is dolphin just bad at playing pre-rendered videos? And are there any special reason why these 3 exact cut scenes needed to be like that I saw nothing special in them?
Download a video from a website that's in the quality of 480p. Now, put it through an encoder and encode it at 1080p. Tell me if the video looks better.
I assumed it was video like I said, but I don't understand why it was video and not just their average cut scene as nothing special is going on and they aren't using new character models and so on like for example final fantasy does all the time.

Kobiaga

Hi, can anyone help with my problem. I spent 30 hours playing this game using save states as well as saves in game. I decided to turn off my computer for the night for some reason (since I usually keep it on running all the time). The the next morning I find all my save data and save states happened to disappear. Even my controller configurations were all reset to default.

I'm using version 4.0-1857 on Windows 8 x64

It's weird because I see the Monado01,02,03 in the sys/wii/title/00010000/53583445/data folder

Please help, I don't want to lose a weeks worth of game play.
Hello people ! I tried to play Xenoblade after a year, using the new HD texture pack ! Smile
But, i've got some weird framerate drops where it shouldn't be :/
I'm using the PAL version of the game, with the 30 fps patch. My computer stats should be on my profile.
About Dolphin, i have the 4.0.2 version, with OpenGL and xAudio.
So as i said, i'm running the game 30fps constant without a single drop when played in Colony 9, which is an open-zone with many monsters and graphicals elements like grass, so i figured it should be ok.
But then, i entered the Tephra cave (or so) and the game started going 5 fps i could barely move. Sometimes too, in some cutscenes, the game drops to 5 fps then the second after it goes 30 for 2-3 seconds and goes back to 5, totally randomly. I had this one cutscene in the park with Shulk and Fiora running 30 fps, and then later in the game the same cutscene in a flashback, but running 5fps, how is that even possible ? I don't get how i can run it fast in an openworld, but when i enter a cave or something, it drops unplayable. Can someone help me out there ? I'd really like to enjoy the game to the maximum, thanks !

your system is prob not powerfull enough to run it at full speed with HD textures for 4.0.2 im the same and i have a better system then you. i get drops in fps in parts of the game. even with 4.0 i still get some fps drops if i have high graphic settings. only in 3.5 do i not get framedrops but the game is les stable in older dolphin builds then it is in 4.0.

But how is that even possible. If my system is good enough to run the Colony 9 part, how can't it run a stupid cave ? As far as i know, a game lags/drops the more elements it must load. If it work on a worldmap, why does it drop where it shouldn't ? I played Xenoblade before on Dolphin, probably a year ago, and don't recall having such problem.
