I'm having problems similar to neatchee on page 1, but I can't fix them.

I was playing completely smoothly until I had to fight Mechons. Now I experience 5-10 FPS drops. It seems worst when zoomed in or light particles bounce off their armor. I've fiddled with graphics settings, going from OpenGL to D3D9 and 1x IR, no AF, no graphical enhancements, etc, but it still persists, which leads me to believe it's some sort of rendering or texture problem.

Quote:Here are my settings:
GENERAL
Framelimit = AUTO or 30+Limit FPS
JIT Recompiler
Lock Threads to Cores ON

GRAPHICS
Direct3D 11 - 4x Native resolution, Anti-Aliasing NONE, AS 16x

Per-pixel lighting ON
Force Texture Filtering ON
EFB Copies RAM w/ Enable Cache ON

XFB DISABLED
Disable Per-Pixel Depth ON
OpenMP Texture Decoder ON

DSP HLE
Audio Backend = XAudio2

In Xenoblade properties
Enable Dual Core ON
Enable Idle Skipping OFF

PAL Version with 30FPS patch.

Operating System: Windows 7 x64
Processor/CPU: Intel i5-750 @ Stock
Video Card/GPU: ATI 5850 @ Stock
Memory/RAM: 8GB
Dolphin Revision Currently Using: 3.0-845 HLE x64
He said he fixed the problem by enabling VBeam, but I still have FPS drops. I think leaving framelimit on Auto or 30FPS+Limit do the same thing, but I'll note that framelimit to Audio goes to 60FPS, which is undesired. Toggling VBeam and idle skipping on/off don't seem to do a whole lot either.

Help much appreciated!
Either overclock your CPU to 3.4GHz or use Dolphin 3.5 - 145 (No HLE patch)

Brood_Star

I think I figured out the problem - PowerPlay was just cutting my performance in half anad it was most noticeable during Mechon fights. Oc'ed to 3.4GHz, as well as my GPU to 900/1200, and I still experience 5fps slowdowns in heavy fights but I think it's manageable.

The 3.5 builds don't work for me either in HLE or LLE because of massive stuttering, or simply gave worse performance than the HLE patch I think

Artemix

I'm using the version 3.5 for W764bits. Didn't configured anything. I just started a new game, an intro shows up, and after like 20 seconds, the sound starts looping and the game hangs up, a few seconds later, my PC throws me a BSOD...

What am I doing wrong?

Alright, I apologize in advance for my ignorance. This is my first time with dolphin, so I am not fully aware of all the settings. I got dolphin to run this game, but I am having issues. I have the NTSC revision with the latest dolphin version. I can start the game alright, but when the first fight starts, the game sound stutters awfullyy. I have tried turning down graphical settings, which helped a bit, but not much. I have an i5-2500k overclocked to about 4.5GHZ and an AMD 6950 so speed shouldn't be a huge issue. What settings can I tweak to fix this?

Well, I did and I downloaded the hack, but it gave me a full dolphin folder. How do I just get the files needed for the hack?
