I didn't do anything and the game seems to run almost perfectly in my PC now. No freezes either. (Or maybe I'm just lucky there was none...)

Anyway, the problem I face now are cheats.
I enabled a cheat to reduce the exp gain. It worked. But the other cheat I want, Change Shop Item, isn't working at all.
I got the change shop item code from the one the emulator downloads. There are 2 of this cheat in there. I tried both. With and without the display item digit thing.

I've beaten this game 4 times on the console itself. I wanted to finish the material and collection quests through the cheat to get the items early this time. But I don't know what's preventing it to work.

Help?
Anyone?
Does the cheat work on console?

I thought this applied only to the 2D menu textures?
Is it a wider thing that I gave it credit for?

I'm still not far through the game (makna forest), is the HD texture thing a process you can revert? Don't wanna risk fucking up my saves and having to restart the game from zero.

Its just some textures so it won`t have any effect on your savegames or such, i tried it yesterday and it´s mostly the 2d stuff as you said, there are a few face textures and other stuff but i didn`t really notice a huge difference, it also made my game alot more stuttery and doubled the load time but maybe thats cause i was using another 4.0 version the dx9-final version (https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-unofficial-testing-needed-dx9-final fastest 4.0 version i have found so far) i was using always crashed when i tried to load the game with custom textures enabled.
If that's how things are it doesn't really look like it's worth the effort, does it?

Dunno just try it for yourself and decide then^^
I think a good sweetfx profile improves the gfx more without any performance loss, posted mine a page back if you want to try it.
ARe there any optimizations to get the game running a bit smoother? I do get 30fps on average but it seems to hiccup too often (especially during combat) for me to really say it's running smoothly. I've got a 4.4ghz haswell so I thought that should be enough, but based on the frequency of the hiccups I feel like I'd need a lot more headroom to get the game running like I remember on my Wii.
OpenGL smooths out a lot of those hiccups. Plus once it caches the game will get smoother: the second time an effect shows up there will be no hiccup, for example.
using lectrode r6515 icc, its a lot faster than the newest build for me. irarely get slowdowns and sound problems! Big Grin
Enjoy getting random crashes with that build then Tongue This game was downright notorious for random crashes and equally mysterious freezes, at least until the FIFO-BP branch was merged into master. As always, a friendly reminder that we no longer support old builds (and Lectrode's builds were always unofficial too). You're free to use whatever you like, but if it's build like that, you're on your own if you come across any issues.
