Hmm, if Open GL runs better on Linux, I wonder how Steam OS would do.

Okay, I'm trying to install the custom button textures for the 360 controller and am having a real bastard of a time. I've got the PAL version of the game, patched up to run at 30 fps, and can't get the textures to work at all.

I have the textures in C:\Program Files\Dolphin 4.0\User\Load\Textures\SX4P01, and have Load Custom Textures checked. What am I doing wrong?

That's wrong. https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=Controlling_the_Global_User_Directory

Okay, problem solved!

For those of you in the future that have this same issue, to get the custom Xbox 360 controller button textures into the game, the textures need to be in C:\Users\[your name]\Documents\Dolphin Emulator\Load\Textures\SX4P01 for the PAL version, and SX4EP01 for the NTSC version, I believe.

Hey everyone, I'm brand new to dolphin and I have been trying to get this game running smoothly. I'm pretty sure my rig should be able to handle it, but when I'm playing I stay around 30fps roaming, but then it drops to around 25ish during fights. Which probably isn't a huge deal, but the stuttering audio is pretty annoying. I saw some people talking about how they have the PAL of NSTC-U version and if they couldn't run the patch for 30fps, they dropped it down and could run on 25fps. I have the Japanese version, but would I be able to change it to 25fps? Thanks for the help.
Been playing the game, was smooth as butter until Colony 9 attack and the Tephra Caves spider boss, fps drops to 20 but sound is fine! I followed one of the earlier posters advice to disable vbeam but still happens. Pretty sure my rig could take it, rig in sig. My config is the one stated few pages ago, that tip to lock fps to 30 was great. Would love if anyone could give me any insight on this
If you can run the game full-speed most of the time you can try to set Framelimit to "Off"
Tried that, fps goes all over the place, ranging between 27-80 fps lol
Well that's what disabling Framelimit is supposed to do Tongue

Ok I am not a computer whiz but I think my laptop stats aren't stellar (in particular the CPU) but the game runs at 20-30fps most of the time however the sound runs much more slowly and stutters almost constantly (except at the starter screen). I did some searching and tried things like enabling v beam and disabling idle skipping all to no avail. I'm using dolphin 40 as well. is there anything I can do to stop the sound stutter?

my specs are:

Intel® Core™ i5-3337U CPU@ 1.80GHz 1.80GHz

Nvidia GeForce GT 735M 2.0gb

8.0GB RAM
